  1. Great responses Kacee! congrats to the soon to be banded!!
  2. ohhhhhh, chicken enchiladas ... droooooooooooooool
  3. yeah, i love it. one thing i've found though - if i am going to run, it has to be in the morning. the afternoon i can barely get 90 seconds. bizarre!!
  4. pip - not all men are as f'ed up as some...
  5. compression garments are WONDERFUL!!
  6. oh dear, based on the urls, i dont think i can view this at work ...
  7. MissM, to be honest, i didnt really pay attention to what i ate right after surgery in regards to volume. i just made sure i got protein in. i would sip an Isopure protein drink (40 grams of protein) all day. i know i LOVED jello. during the night that first week or so, i would wake up in the middle of the night STARVING!! i had lime jello next to my bed and would literally have 1-2 bites and that completely satisfied me. i did eat some jello pudding and a little broth, but to be honest, it took about 3 weeks for me to have an appetite. my suggestion would be to cut the carbs to a minimum. carbs burn quickly and make you hungrier. try Isopure drinks (taste almost like kool ade). most GNC / Vitamin Shoppes carry them. congrats on being banded!
  8. compression garments (or sucker inners as i call 'em) do WONDERS. i do not leave the house without one. i've even started wearing one when i work out because of the loose/flabby skin. they are a bit pricy but SO worth it.
  9. that's the whole point of this thread ... there are links provided that tell you what DH means ... i even use it as one of my examples on what is covered...
  10. it was good. my stupid toe is still a problem, but im running 3, walking 90seconds then repeating...
  11. yeah, salsa is pretty much every day for me with my grilled chicken. never used to be a salsa type... bizarre how things change so much!
  12. i crave spicy stuff all the time now that i'm banded as well.. weird.
  13. time to heal and anchor that band in place. once you reach proper restriction (not necessarily first - or third, etc - fill), then concentrate on losing that weight! congrats on being banded.
  14. i dont know what constitutes SUPER MO (im sure i was there), but if you search for JulieNYC, she has lost 200 pounds so far and looks fantastic!! there are quite a few successful bandsters on this board.
  15. here is the container of crab from costco... it is so incredible. the can is good, but this container (it's kind of tiny) contains big chunks / pieces of crab... soooooooo good.
  16. Mariposa, i know - everyone looked fantastic (well, almost everyone - i think 1 person gained quite a bit back - cant remember her name). Kae looked stunning and Julie (i think thats her name, the mom) weighs 121 pounds!!! OMG! im excited for the new season to start up so soon!
  17. good luck Julie. is your PS doing your port replacement as well? i want to get one, but not sure if a PS/General Surgeon can do it.
  18. you look beautiful! great job!
  19. yeah, i think a slight unfill would be good. i tend to get even tighter about 2 weeks after my fill. good luck
  20. i was surprised as well... it was tame compared to some of the other threads around here...
  21. ohhhhh... Cherry Pomegranate!! yummie, thanks! the fruit punch stains everything as well. i havent liked any of their teas - the green tea tastes too artificial. THANKS wasa!
  22. i believe it is tomorrow ... i'll be thinking of you tomorrow, Julie!
  23. i am a side/stomach sleeper, mostly 1/2 and 1/2 at the same time... and the side i sleep on is my port side. the first couple of days after surgery, i only slept on my back. after that, i tested it and did fine on my normal sleeping.... one weird thing that i felt was when i switched sides, it felt like my insides were literally shifting as well ... really weird.
