Hi everyone...I got my date! April 22nd! Start my liquid diet on 4/8. I'm a lil nervous now that the time is drawing closer, but I know I have made the best decision for me. Looking forward to us all supporting each other!

Thanks friends for making me feel normal. I am prepping for surgery and trying to wean myself and it is hard! I actually like the taste of diet coke! I know I can do it but I also believe knowing it is banished forever is one of the hardest parts of the surgery. Glad to hear I have friends in that department!

We are all there with you girlfriend! If you feel down, post us and we'll talk you through it! The thyroid thing isn't a big deal. The medication can easily address the problem. It may take a few months to get the right dosage but I started taking it fairly recently and haven't noticed anything. Keep us posted! Without a doubt each visit uncovers something new! When you share we can all learn! Good luck!

You keep going girl! 11.5 pounds in 2 weeks- that is awesome! I am jealous you are under the 200 mark. Keep writing and inspiring us! I get banded in 9 days and this liquid diet is keeping me QUITE HUNGRY! I just have to persevere.....

Happy Anniversary! I'm jealous that you are through surgery AND moving on to pureed foods. What's the deal with a 2 pound gain, anyway? That makes no sense. If your doc explains do share for us "almost" banded so we know why. Good luck!

Woo hoo! You go! This is going to be a GREAT year, isn't it? Good luck with your pre-op diet. I personally am HUNGRY after day 3! I can do it, though! 4-23-10 is my scheduled new "birthday"!

I am so sorry that you are dealing with this. Hopefully the hematologist will be your LAST stop before surgery. Anyone of us could face the same thing you are so you have our power of positive thought behind you.

Hi Jilly! I am in a very similar starting place....210 pounds. I am doing the pre-op liquid diet starting on Friday. YIKES! April 23rd is the BIG DAY! My doctor says it'll be my new birthday. I hope it is as great as he says it will be! Good job on the commitment aspect! I agree, you can do it! You GO GIRL!

Congratulations! Wow! 2.5 weeks POST-surgery! Sounds like you have made it through the worst of the storm. You can do it....just think of how much fun shopping will be when we can visit REAL stores instead of PLUS SIZE stores! I've got a little more than 2 weeks before surgery. I can't wait!
