  1. Happy 38th Birthday Kary!

  2. Happy 37th Birthday Kary!

  3. i have lost close to 20 lbs since my surgery on March 10th but it's been hard these last couple of weeks becuase like everyone is saying, it is a diet on your part. Therefore, I have been tracking everything I eat and keep the calories to 600 or 700 a day and it's been working. I get my first fill on Friday and looking forward to some restriction. Hang in there and try to work out everyday for 30 mins. I walk two miles a day.
  4. I'm 14 days out and lost 12 lbs so far! WHOO YOO!
  5. My husband has been so supportive and cooks the right foods for me and comforts me on a hard day. He told me he's gonna miss grabbing on to my love handles though. LOL.
  6. This is my 14th day post op. This is the very first day on the mushies. I was hungry on liquids but stuck it out and lost basically a lb a day. So it's definitely worth it! Try not to cheat and just stick with it, you have the rest of your banded life to enjoy solid food. LOL. Love My Band!

    forget calories?

I agree as well, I don't count calories at all. I just each protein and veggies measured out each meal to 4 or 5 oz.s. Love my Band!
  8. I did 3 protein shakes each day for two weeks before I was banded. After I am banded, I still am on a all liquid diet for a month after I am banded. It sucks but WORTH IT! Protein shakes give you all the nutrition you need, just keep remembering that! You can do this! I know because I am and it's just something we have to do, but it won't last for long. :frown:

    My worst fear....

I agree with Betsy and all the other posts, before you're banded you have no clue what it's gonna be like and are scared, like I was, on such a drastic lifestyle change, and a fearful of cutting out the foods you love and have comforted you. However, since I was banded, I now know, that the life long diet we've all experienced still continues even when you're banded. You still have to have willpower, control and intelligence to make the right eating choices because your band is a tool, that's all it is. Therefore, before you're banded, live like a bandster because that will get you close to how it's gonna be once you're banded. Yes you will be hungry, but us bandsters get hungry too! That feeling doesn't go away, but our band makes us eat less when we are hungry. All the best!
  10. YOU LOOK GREAT KARTMAN!!!!!!!!!!!! OOOOO LAAA LAAA! LOL. GOOD JOB!:frown:
  11. I'm 9 days post op and am not even on solid foods for another two weeks per my doctor's orders. I'm on strictly liquids and I've been losing alot. Don't even want to mess that so going to stick with my protein shakes and tomato soup for dinner every night until I get a good fill. Been taking vitamins so know I'm getting proper nutrition and am not going to starve during this time.
  12. That's Awesome Todd, rock it! :scared2:

    mexico anyone

Please be careful, very unstable down there. Be informed. U.S. citizen are being warned not to cross the border at this point due to the flood of violence.
  14. Craving everything, but craving been skinnier more! On liquids for most of my post-op until my fill so I try and block it from my hungry mind! LOL. :scared2:
  15. I weigh myself like every other day because since I'm still on liquids I'm dropping weight rapidly and like to see the numbers on the scale. :scared2:
