I'm also frustrated with the weight not coming off...I'm only eating one meal and drinking 2-3 shakes a day. Total loss only 10lbs ( i think)..... and that's from low carb dieting prior to the only one meal thing. I started "pre-op dieting" on Mar. 15th. I'm starting to think (hope) that big numbers in pre-op are coming from people with much higher starting numbers. I'm doing better with the hungry the last couple of days. I drink 2 shakes and 3 -20oz water bottles with crystal light in them. Also, I started drinking broth....not from the can. I go and get clear broth soup or wonton soup and only drink the broth and throw the food away. I have a shake in the morning, shake for lunch and then broth/soup when i get home from work, then dinner. The broth has done wonders for me (well the last 2 days) not feeling deprived. Hope your day is a better one today. I'll check with you tonight.

Was doing great with the weight loss, but have also had a slow go this last month. I had 3 fills and have restriction now. I'm not hungry to later in the day/night. I started the lap band journey at (surgery 4/22) 252.5 and now I'm 211.4......but the last 8 lbs have been over a little less than 2 months. So, basically I'm pissed. I finally get restriction and the weight loss has stopped. To be honest, the working out has also stopped. I think I need to eat small amounts more often and start moving again.
When can you get another fill? Restriction has really helped (even if the weight is flying off like I thought it would). It helps b/c I feel I'm actually getting what i paid for now. Hope you have a great week!!

Had an ok night....very hungry when I got home from work (around 4). I really need to find a filler b/w lunch and home. Had chicken ontop of romane lettuce, shredded cheese, and honey mustand dressing. About an hour later had some nuts. I'm thinking I'm going to start drinking some broth when I get home. Any thoughts on the meal??

Feeling good. Still sore at the port site. Good news is that I'm not hungry. Its very weird. Yesterday I had a protein shake for breakfast, a half of a banana for lunch, a protein shake for dinner and a half of a sugar free pudding for dessert. I was starving with the pre-op diet and now post op I can't even eat that much. did you have to start the pre-op diet again yet? Hang in there....its very worth it!!

Fill went very well. I was still hungry that night but I was on clear liquids (didn't plan on that). I'm in love with the band right now and I hope that this fill last a long time. Scale is on the move and I'm having godd restriction. I hoep you're doing as well. I can't wait to see eveyone's progress at the end of June. We should really see it by then. Have a great day.

Hey everybody....don't forget to take those before pics. I took some from the front, back, and side. Actually, I did it when I was very hungry on clear liquids....pic help me motivate myself again. I took 2 sets of pics ...1) bra and panties (for my own eyes) and 2) sport bra and workout capri (for the world to see).

Hi....we have a couple of mutual lapbandtalk friends... I notice on venegirl1's post you mentioned you're dealing with the lost of your little sister this month. I wanted to say how sorry I am. Losing a sibling is one of the hardest, not understood, most difficult spot to be in, and one of the worst to have to survive. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you this hard month.

I agree not to beat yourself up about it. I was saying the other day I know in my head that my body would hold onto and want food after all of the liquids and then barely any food....but...... I thought I was going to do better. I keep telling myself that just make it to restriction without going crazy. I don't want to gain of the weight I lost....I'm afraid. Just know that there's someone out in the world that feels exactly like you right now. Have a great day!!

I'm 6 days postop and I lost 8.5 lbs with a total of 18.5 since low carb diet. :thumbup:My doc has me on a very strict food plan of what to eat. I'm eating 1 -2oz servings, 40-70g prot per day and 64 oz of liquid. Till my 2 week check up I follow his diet and then back to low carb diet. Tomorrow I can have mashed potatoes and Thursday is scrambled eggs. I was really "tight" today. Still sore but when I eat i get so full. Its the craziest thing. As for losing weight....as long as I lose my 5 - 10 lbs pre-op I was happy. Just focus on the minimal lose needed and let the band do the rest. I'm happy to have you on this journey with me. Hope you're well.

I'm ok....in Bandster hell. I'm back to foods and back on my low carb, high protein diet. But I have no restriction...I really miss my swollen stomach restriction from surgery. I get my 1st fill on the 24th and I'm looking forward to it. I haven't lost any more weight, but haven't gained any either so I guess that's good. I'll be thinking of you Tuesday and sending good vibes your way.
