  1. The website you gave me vst.com isn't pulling up anything on Dr Almanza.
  2. I would appreciate any information on Dr Almanza or Dr Jose Rodriguez good or bad. I'm close to making my decision on who to choose for my VSG surgery. Any info would be great. Thanks :redface1:
  3. How did you handle the changes in you life. In the states most of them require a psych evaluation to see if you can handle the changes. My niece had to go through a 6 month process before her gastric bypass Thanks
  4. Can anyone please tell me what life is like after sleeve surgery.Such as what you can eat or will be able to eat in the future. Thanks
  5. :001_smile:What made you decide to go with Dr Almanza. What made you make the decision to choose if it was safe or not Thanks:001_smile:
  6. I live in Hamilton. It's about half way between Dallas and Austin or 60 miles west of Waco. I've alot good reviews and the price is great. I've also heard a few about infections. I just wish I new someone personally who's gone there. What surgery are you going to have?
  7. Does anyone have any advice on Dr Almanza good or bad! Thanks
  8. I've been considering and researching sleeve surgery in Mexico. I've been looking at Dr Almanza or Dr Zapata. I have a friend who went to Dr Zapata. That friend is also a nurse. The price is better with Almanza but safety is my first concern
  9. I'd like to thank everyone who replied to my post. For those of you that posted your after pictures you look wonderful. It's been so long since I've been small that I've forgotten what I used to look like. I think it's been 25 years or more. Even when I was small I don't think I ever felt small. I just want to be healthy and feel good about myself. I finally got up the nerve to tell my husband that I was considering going to Mexico for the surgery and he was fine with it. He's just wants me to be healthy, safe and happy. If I could hear from a few more people that has gone to Dr Almanza or that has scheduled their surgery with him I would be ever so greatful. Thanks :confused1: Texasgirl :001_unsure:

  11. Thanks for the info my email is sharon8524@embarqmail.com I haven't told my husband that I'm considering this. Having to get up the nerve. He just wants me to be happy, healthy, safe and what's best for me. I don't have any idea of what he'll think when I tell him that I want to go to Mexico for the surgery.
  12. How long did it take and what research did you do to make your decicsion to go to Dr. Almanza. I just don't want to make the wrong decision. Thanks for all of your input!
  13. Hello, Where do I start. I was skinny thru school, got married, had 2 children, gained alot of weight. I now have 2 beautiful granddaughter's. I'm considering the vsg. I'm thinking of going to Mexico & using Dr Almanza. I've read alot of good things about him from all the postings. Two factors for me are safety & price. I'm scared of the unknown, going to a foreign country & being put under. I've been put to sleep before, but still get nervous, My insurance won't pay the surgery. I have high blood pressure, stress incontinence, bad knees, sleep apnea & diabetes runs in my family. I can't even remember what I used to look or feel like. Know that I have the opportunity to have the surgery I'm scared to make the decision. Do I deserve it! To be healthy and thin again. I just want live a longer healthier happy life and be there for my kids & grandkids. Any advice would be greatly appreciated Thanks Texasgirl
