  2. I love nectar (Syntrax). It comes in many fruit flavors, mixes with Water and is not as "heavy" as the ones that mix with milk. Good Luck:thumbup:
  3. It was good to see some new posts about this. I was banded on 3-2 and started getting these pains in my upper and lower legs about 3 days after I got home. It is always at night and while I no longer need pain meds for the incisions, I find myself reaching for something just so that I can get back to sleep. Of course, I had my 1 week post-op appt. yesterday and completely forgot to tell the dr. about that (maybe just looking to get out of there?). I will give the office a call just to make sure but it looks like this too shall pass.

I was banded on Tuesday and the recovery has been much faster than my c-sections. The nurses kept telling me that I used much less pain meds than usual. My hospital used a pre-measured morphine button that I could just push when I needed (something I could have used for my c-sections lol) Maybe going thru pitocin without pain meds upped my tolerance? In any event, I have needed quick reflexes to keep my little one from jumping on me but after only 5 days I am already starting to feel normal at times. Good luck.
  5. Congrats on your banding. I was banded on March 2 and my Dr. did tell me specifically that left shoulder pain (along with some other areas) might occur and was normal - even with a clear diet. I have not had any such pain although I am still working to take a good breath. But if you are concerned, of course, you should contact your doctor. Good luck. :smile2:
  6. Knowing that some people had to weight a while for their first fill but still lost weight, I am wondering if anyone has decided to forego fills altogehter.
  7. Hi out there. I am scheduled for March 2 and hope I don't chicken out like I did last year. I had a Jan '09 date but stopped during the clearance phase. But I have to do this. It is hard wrapping my head around the pre-op diet that I have to start in the next day or so. I have my pre-op testing tomorrow morning and then go shopping for protein shakes. blech.
