  1. I am 4 months out of surgery and have lost 60 pounds with huge success. My only concern is that I have a good sized grapefruit sized lump over my incision where the stomach came out. I believe he told me at first preop it would go away. After 4 months out it shows up more because everything else has disappeared . I get concerned because I can't find anyone on here who has had the same problem. Anyone have this problem?
  2. Revision June 23rd and have lost 60 pounds so far. It has changed my life!
  3. Fatty M- for once in my life I don't have to really worry about being overweight or overeating. I had my revision on June 23 and weighed 264.8 the day I came home from surgery . I now weigh 204.4 on 11/5. That is 60 pounds in 4.5 months. Surgery was a breeze - had some weak spells early but feel great and have went from 2x to L in a short amount of time and am 4 pounds away from my 1st real goal. Best decision I have ever made. You will do great! I second guessed it and cancelled my surgery twice before I did it. No sweating, snoring, knee pain, high BP disappeared, and I dress way better in nice clothes because they feel great. Has added years to my life.
  4. Orange shirt is about 260 and the other picture is now at 216
  5. Do it! I had my 3 month check up today. I have lost 50 pounds in that time weighing in at 216 today. I am 45 and 5'10 and can't wear the majority of my clothes . I feel great, surgery wasn't bad at all. I haven't told anyone and everyone is asking me about how much weight I have lost.
  6. Down from 264.8 to 223- weight loss is slowing to about 7 or 8 pounds a month. People definitely notice how much I do not eat. I usually say I just ate something before the meal. Went to a rodeo and had BBQ Saturday and could literally eat only about 4-5 bites and was full.
  7. Hellcat- I am a revision and at 7 weeks I have already lost more than I did with lap-band. No way I will ever be able to eat the way I used to. Lunch was about 6 bites and I was full. I am now worried about losing too much weight.
  8. In 55 days I have lost 35 pounds! Right now this thing was worth it. 264.8 to 229.1 this morning. Blood pressure is down, sleeping better and look way better. I was apprehensive after the band because I could anything I wanted with the band. Now I cannot eat much at all. Surgery was easier than the band. I encourage anyone to do it.
  9. I am 7 weeks out and have lost 34 pounds. I didn't tell anyone and everyday people are asking how much weight I have loss. It's been a ride so far and I can't hardly eat anything. Surgery was easy and so far I have lost 7inches off my waist and an inch and a half off my neck.
  10. I cancelled my date twice before I had revision surgery because of apprehension. Had it 6 weeks ago and am down 33 pounds already. I hardly had any pain. Band was more painful.
  11. Had my revision in one surgery and it was an easier recovery than from the Lap band. Have lost 33 pounds in 6 weeks. Been great so far !
  12. Pink- very good have lost 33 pounds and 5 inches off my stomach and 1.5 off my neck. I can tolerate any food just not much of it. Sweets are the past as it doesn't taste good anymore. Definitely a great move for me. I sleep better , sweat less, and knees hurt less already. Not to mention clothes are draping off of me
  13. Never had much restriction with the band after a few months. I lost 50 and gained it all back . I have lost 33 pounds in 6 weeks with sleeve. Restriction is very quick. I cannot eat much at all maybe 3oz at a time. Way easier and more effective than lap band. I had mine in one surgery and it was a breeze. I had a lot of apprehension. I have already lost 5 inches off my stomach and 1.5 off my neck.
  14. Very encouraged as I have lost 33 pounds to date and already weigh less than I ever did with the band. Do not like anything with sugar except G2 Gatorade. Took a drink of Coke and it was no good, my favorite ice cream and don't have any interest in. Meanwhile I am sleeping better - not sweating as much and feel good. A new wardrobe is headed my way soon. 264.8 on June 25th and 231.6 on August 9th.
  15. Way easier than the band - had mine 6/23 and have lost 33 pounds already
  16. Today has been a month today since I had revision surgery. Surgery was easier than lap-band surgery in my opinion. I weighed 264.8 when I got home from surgery, and I weighed 242.2 this morning. That is 22.6 pounds in a month. I have went from 2x shirts to XL already. I am now at a stage where I can eat what I want but can't eat much at all. I have no problems eating and drinking but have trouble getting all my protein in just eating. The weight came off fast for 2 weeks but is coming off pretty slow now. I don't like to really go out and eat now because I can't very much at all. Other than that it's coming off slowly. Been a good month but definitely a change in my way of life.
  17. Tuesday will be a month since I have had revision surgery and I have had no issues with reflux at all. I don't even need the Prevacid they gave me for a month. I have lost 21 pounds already.
  18. Tuesday I was 3 weeks out and I am starting to 2nd guess this decision. I lost about 19 pounds in the first 2 weeks. I have not lost a pound in the last 12 days. I am usually eating around 800 calories and no more than a 1000. I have walked somewhere in the neighborhood between 5-8 miles everyday. Based on numbers there is no way I shouldn't be losing. Yesterday I sanded a garage in the heat and still didn't lose. I feel pretty good as long as I take my vitamin and I am active, and I couldn't overeat if I tried. My only issue is it is hard for me to get enough protein in. I am usually around 40-50 grams. Any advice?
  19. I can tolerate anything, but can't eat hardly eat anything.
  20. I had my revision in one surgery on June 23, 2015. My surgery was a 1.5 hours long. Not hardly much pain stayed overnight and went home. I had trouble with complete exhaustion during liquid phase but I am passed that, but make sure you take a good multivitamin with iron and B12. I have lost 20 pounds in 2 weeks. At 2 weeks I am currently in Vegas where I walked 8 miles yesterday. You will definitely know when to stop eating.
  21. I am sleeved the same day you were I Had 5 days of full liquids and started puréed today. In 5 days I can move to mechanical soft
  22. My doctor is 5-7 days full liquids, 5-7 days puréed, 5-7days mechanical soft, and then to chicken, fish and adding food. You progress through the range when you feel ready.
  23. I was sleeved on the 23rd no pain meds since day of surgery - getting 64 oz of fluids but not enough protein. Have lost almost 3 pounds a day in the last 4 days. Walking about 3 miles a day. I feel pretty good
  24. Can't drink it it's pure garbage!
  25. Fluids have not been a problem getting them in. I drink at least 16 oz of milk a day -G2 Gatorade, water, had ice tea last night , will have one cup of coffee in morning. I am only taking in about 40 grams of protein a day is I am having trouble with protein shakes. I can't drink a lot of volume at one time but it is getting easier to drink. Have walked 6k steps to everyday since Wednesday. Trying to get up to 8k today since I started puréeds. Just had cream of wheat and could only eat a little more than 1/2 a package. I have went on two small walks today and am about at 2 miles. I have to get fluids in pretty soon as I am thirsty.
