Is It Normal To Just Take Out 1/2 Of My Fill When My Band Slipped?
I was completely unfilled, and hungry as can be....I still am...... and have gained nearly 15 pounds. I was unfilled in December 2011 and currently have 4.4cc's in a 10cc band. They center says they have to fill me slowly to diminish the chances of another slip.

Stretched??
My band is also a 10 cc band. They had to completely unfill me in December and put me on liquids for 2 weeks. They began to slowly fill me back, When I was unfilled I had 7.4 taken out. Right now, I am back up to 6.7 and I still have little restriction.

Stretched??
I was told by my NP that it stretches over time. Everytime we eat too much or too quickly, it stretches little by little....but I believe it took several months ....maybe even closer to a year before I stretched mine. I had my first pb/ vomiting episode 11 months after being banded. I had 5 to 6 more episodes after that between January and October. By October, I started noticing acid reflux that worsened weekly. By December, I was having reflex everyday, several times a day even if I drank water or broth....not matter what I ate or drank or how early I ate before lying down for bed at night. I would always wake up coughing and would have bad indigestion every single night. It would happen like clock work....always waking me up as if an internal alarm went off inside of my body. It is hard to deny a slipped band. You would know it, believe me.

Stretched??
It sounds as though you need a fill. I have been banded since February 2010 and learned that I had a dilated band "stretched pouch" back in December of 2011. The signals for this included daily acid reflux, night coughs, and no restriciton among others things. As someone suggested, when in doubt always communicate with your doctor's office. Also, as far as restriction, it is different for everyone. I worked on will power during my first 9 months of being banded. On the day of my surgery, I had 5cc's in...didn't help. I was a hungry monster. I did not get restriction until months later at 7.4 cc's. Even then, I felt like I wasn't in my "green zone". I had a lot of mind conditioning to suffer through.

Regurgiation, Choking And Reflux At Nightime, After Getting A Lap Band Fill
I wanted to give you an update. After I was unfilled 2cc's the np called me back a few days later and said that my dr. requested a complete unfill. I had to endure two weeks without any restriction. I was filled 2cc's January 5th and another 2cc's today (February 8th). I am more hungry than happy but my predicament beats slippage surgery. They want to fill me slowly. Please, I don't want to frighten anyone but if you are reading and experiencing these signs don't ignore them. get unfilled. If you are too tight!!

Regurgiation, Choking And Reflux At Nightime, After Getting A Lap Band Fill
- Regurgiation, Choking And Reflux At Nightime, After Getting A Lap Band Fill
I have been banded since Feb 2010. I was in the green zone for more than a year. In the last two months, I have been experiencing violent coughs at night, indigestion and night and reflux at night. Most recently, I started having reflux day and night. I finally called my doctor's office Monday and had an emergency appt. today. I learned today that I have a small slippage. 3cc out of 7.4 cc's were removed and I have to be on a two week (yes she doubled it) liquid diet to get back on track and prepare my stomache muslces to relax themselves. I was afraid that I would have had to have surgery to place the band back in place so I feel fortunate to be able to be on a liquid diet. I do not want to scare anyone reading this but I would like to advise you to pay attention to these signs and not take them lightly. I believe that I could have caught my band slippage sooner had I not ignored the signs. Plus the NP mentioned something about the possibility of getting some type of pneumonia had the liquids went into my lungs (IDK), I didn't get that but take care of you.- Please Tell Me, my surgeon pushed off my Lap Band Surgery!
Yes, I agree with the other poster. Take the job, I'm sure they will understand that you had something previously planned. I had a job once where I had to take off a month after being hired to maternity leave. I tried to hide my pregnancy during the interview. They made me an offer anyway and my leave was not a problem at all.- Overate....now In Pain
Yes, I think you have a bug or something,.... maybe too many combinations of food.....but I'm no expert- Free cookie
fun fun flirty fun!!!! This was a great read, thanks for sharing.- Thank You, My Lap Band Family!!!
Wow, I didn't know you were have a nip/tuck. You are going to be super fabulous. Please post pictures once you are feeling better.- VALUABLE INFO - PLEASE READ ALL AND BOOKMARK!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good read!- From: Bathroom Problems
Yes, it;s the sea salt on the seasoning aisle at the store. Just make sure it does NOT have iodine.- From: Bathroom Problems
Source: Bathroom Problems What do you think of this?- Weight Watchers
My surgery was approved through Aetna. I used Weight Watchers once upon a time but I never had to prove it. I just listed it as one of the programs I tried. Are you should you need to show them something? If so, just call them and ask specifically what they require.Good luck!- Stuck for a while
I juSt left gnc, brought the papaya enzymes chewables, I think I'm unstuck now though I can't really tell cause I've been eating light. I drank pineapple juice yesterday but I may take a chewable just to be double sure that I'm clear.- Stuck for a while
That's why I love this site. So many knowledgeable people. I tried the pineapple juice and now I feel just fine. Thx everyone. I will find these papaya pills next. Hopefully I won't need them, though..........- Everlasting Stuck Episode
Thanks everyone, lots of people talk about the papaya enzyme pills. I never knew about this until now. I will definately research where to buy those.- Everlasting Stuck Episode
Thanks Xavier. I have been banded for over a year and this is my third stuck episode. All of the episodes happened this year (2011). I usually am able to to meat in the morning. My day starts at 4:30am and I drink coffee at that time. 7:00 is when I eat breakfast so usually I'm open by then. However, maybe my body/band has changed and now I can no longer it meat until later.- Stuck for a while
Yesterday at work I was eating cornish hen and mustard greens for lunch (11:30am). I was talking with co-workers and apparantly not chewing well because I was talking too much. Anyway, got stuck....drank water, the water sat on top of the stuck food....water came up and food came up. Later that day, 4:00, I decided to eat on an apple even though I wasn't hungry. After maybe four bites at five minutes apart, I could not eat anymore. I felt super tight and full. Dinner that night (8:30pm) tried to nibble on a pork rib....was unsuccessful (too full to eat) and not hungry. This morning I drank coffee and tried to eat my dang cornish hen (not at the same time). Again, after a few bites, I was too full to eat. Same thing at lunch...too full to eat. At lunch I forced ore food and had to go to the school's nurse because my chest began to hurt (indigestion- took a pepcid). I served my familiy dinner tonight (6:00pm) and again had no appetite. I think I may have some food hung, partially blocking my band opening. I haven't slimed or thrown up anything more, but my last decent meal was yesterday morning. Has anyone ever experienced this? Is it possible to be partially stuck and not have any signs besides barely being able to eat.- Everlasting Stuck Episode
