Well I'm not sure where to start.  I guess my story begins like most stories.  I've struggled with weight and weight loss most of my life.  I dieted my way to my current weight.  Besides being overweight, I have high blood pressure, back pain, thyroid issues, and take more medicine than I like.  In 2005 I had breast reduction surgery hoping that it would help alleviate the back pain (it helped some but not a cure all that's for sure).  In 2007 I had a complete hysterectomy and have to take hormones which I think made or makes me gain weight.  So I talked to my family doctor who gave me a referal to see Dr. Fox in Richland.  I attended the required informational seminar, and after the doctors office verified that I did have benefits for surgery I made my appointment for the consultation.  I had my first visit with the doctor on December 14, 2009.  I started gathering all the required information, had my appointment with the psychologist (which I was a little nervous about) and with the sleep doctor.  I finished with everything two weks ago, and called the doctors office on Jan 27, 2010 I was told that they had sent the information to the insurance company that day and hoped to hear from them by the following tuesday.  On saturday Jan 30th I received the letter from the insurance company approving the surgery!!!!!!  I was so worried that I would have to jump through so many hoops, and fight to have the surgery.......Thank goodness I worried for nothing.  Today (2-1-2010) the doctors office called and scheduled my surgery for March 12, 2010.  I have no words to convey how excited I am to be able to have this surgery and begin a new chapter in my life.
