Had a question about the stomach (staples) healing, can you develop a leak way after surgery or is it the longer your post-op the stronger it becomes b/c body has healed??? wondering if you can get a leak yrs later??

Hi, I just wanted to post here and introduce myself and hope to one day join ya on the losers bench. I'm 43 (ugh), mother of 3 adopted kids -I have high blood pressure & incontience. I have, like many of you, thought the lapband was the answer for me until I researched the lapband, now I cannot believe that there isnt a class action law suit on the makers. I am so glad I didnt go for it. My first consultation is Feb. 18 with Dr. Inman in Carmel Indiana, anyone hear of her? good or bad?. I have elected not to do the RNY b/c two of my sisters had it with problems. One ended up in the ICU for weeks because her staples came apart. Three yrs later she is still looking at more surgeries and although she's thin now, still has bowel problems. There ya have it, if you have any questions, please pm me. Good luck everyone, Kelly

Has anyone had VSG with Dr. Maragret Inman from Carmel, In? This seems to be one of few drs that perform the VSG & takes anthem BCBS. Please let me know how to research her. thank you

so if your self pay, in Mexico or not, do you have to do all the pre-op tests?

Please help me, I am trying to find a dr. in Indiana that performs the VSG, I'm in southern Indiana, but I'm willing to travel-insurance says the surgery has to stay in Indiana. If you have any info PLEASE let me know. thank you, Kelly
