    Day three after my October 22 surgery , I am doing wonderful , surgery went so well , and the days after went well . I am so excited about how the future will be . Taking a few more days off work to get my food and my sore tummy I shape . This experience has been better than I ever expected . Thankful for my family and my doctor ! They have been great ❤️#feelingblessed

    Thank you everyone! I'm also going from lap-band to sleeve after my sleeve broke. My surgery is Oct. 22 and I am very excited. Once in awhile I ask myself "what and I doing?" starting over but I need to do this for me. I lost weight with the band, but was very tired of throwing up every day. The sleeve was not available when I was banded, or I would have done it. Y'all have reassured me that I made the right decision.

    Thanks for this article. You’ve given a lot of incredibly good information. It’s always good to know which activities are safe, and when it’s okay to do certain activities after surgery. Your guidelines and suggestions for activity can really help make it easier for BariatricPal members to prepare for surgery and to start exercising afterwards.
    I just have one more piece of advice: make it fun! Find an activity or a few that you love, and see if you can find a friend or two to join you. That way, you’re not forcing yourself to exercise. It becomes a good part of your day or week, and it’s more sustainable.
