  1. the foot/calf cramps are a lack of potassium, that one I know for sure because it happens to me all the time! if you make sure to have broccolli or potatoe or banana every day you won't have that happen at night. with me it wakes me right up if I don't have one of those 3 foods the day before!
  2. I love it that the band can always be adjusted, and removed if necessary.....and I've always wondered what happens to that other half of your stomach you dont use if you have a bipass?? it just hangs out there and????..GldnGrl you exactly hit the nail on the head I've been wondering this same thing!!!
  3. that is exactly what I've been afraid of lately, now that the swelling is gone the port feels different so I keep wondering if it moved, and the band too the first time I slept on the left side I woke right up I could feel the stitches pulling and now I can't feel it at all. Can that become disconnected or slide out of place?
  4. it sounds like you should head to the ER and by ambulence, I wouldn't try to drive--what if you pass out? and what is PB?
  5. kliv2 you are at the same point that I am! my surgery was the 21st and my first fill is scheduled for the 20th but I'm starting to miss chewing/food and I feel like my appetite is increasing. I haven't given in either except for strawberries I'm only having protein shakes and diluted juice. I'm stressing cause I feel like people are expecting me to lose faster than I am.
  6. I was told by my nurse they are caused by stress because I just got a couple on my tongue a few days ago so I asked about it. I'm stressed because I've told so many people who know me about my lap-band that they are starting to ask how much I've lost and I'm stressed because I haven't had my first fill yet and I am wondering if they are thinking I'm not losing enough to make a difference, I haven't had my fill yet.
  7. I had this same thing the day after my surgery and was told it was my signal that I'd eaten too much too fast. I'm pacing myself as far as food goes and writing it all down along with the times I do everything, so that I can keep track of what works best. Since I started doing that, I have no pain and when I take a deep breath I can feel it in my ribs. my nurse said it's because I'm not taking 20 minutes for a meal, I'm just in too much of a hurry. losing a pound a day though.
