questions about I can change diet

Thank you for your response. I hate the idea of waiting 6 months to prove I am serious while I'm so ready now, but I guess I'll deal with it. I have to keep reminding myself that I've got to do this to get what I want...a new me!

    Anyone have tufts health?

Thank you so much for your response. I've been trying to find information about this at least a week. I'm, hoping to get approved this week to start their program but they wont' tell you anything except it consists of phone calls with a sponser. thanks again
  6. I'd like to find out what kind of a 6 month diet did you have to do? Will they let you choose your own plan like Weight watchers or do you have to follow their exact plan? Is it true hyou have to do phone calls once a month to check in or do you see your PCP for weigh ins?
  7. Why is it I can't find anything on I can change diet?I tried google and bing and found nothing. I understand it is about phone calls with sponsers but is there a set diet plan to follow? What is it like? How have people done on it? thanks for sharing
  8. My health insurance (Tufts) requires a person to do the I can change diet for 6 months before surgery. Has anyone done this? What does it consist of? Do you know why you must complete it before having the surgery? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
  9. Reading some of your entries, I found out if you have Tufts (which I do) I'd have to do some i can change 6 month diet? Is this true? Is there a way to bypass it? What if I bring letters from other specialists to support the surgery? Has anyone using Tufts gone through this challenge or was it mandatory to do the diet? I don't know if it matters but I live in Massachusetts.

    switching surgeons in MA

I live in East Boston. Could I ask who you had and why are you changing?
  11. I'm from MA, and psyched to do this NOW. I've been reading other posts that say you've got to wait 6 months and do the i can change diet for Tufts Health Plan. I've already been on diets and waiting for YEARS! Can the dr. bypass this or is it mandatory?
  12. I've read that some people have to do a sleep study as part of their pre-op. Why?
  13. Congrats on your surgery. I find all of your questions and concerns so important since hopefully I'll have the surgery in April. I've learned so much from your questions and other's suggestions. Good luck and continued success!:w00t:
  14. 1. I've watched a few videologs on Youtube and have heard several different people talk about shoulder pain after surgery. What is this caused from? 2. Some people say they can't sleep in their same position in bed after the surgery. Why 3. If you are from Massachusetts please let me know. I'd like to talk with someone who is local. 4. Is it very painful after surgery? I'm a baby about pain. 5. I am hoping to get it done over April vacation. Is it reasonable to feel better in one weeks time? Thanks for answering my questions :w00t:
