  1. crazzy to say i never really work out my legs because most of my weight i carry it on my upper body. i'm what they call an up side down pear shape. So as a result my legs seem to very stong, can't say much about top but i'mm working on it.

my start weight was 220 now 169 total 60 lb loss.

good luck with ur weight loss.

  2. I'm doing about the same as everyone else working out and eatting less. the biggest thing is getting to a good restriction, for me that is what went right. once i got good restriction the weight just fell off.

  3. Happy to hear you are doing well. My second fill wasn't so bad, i did have pain. My weight loss has not improve much, it's been up and down but staying withing the same range. Wish I get out of it soon.

  4. hey, just wanted to check to see how u nr doing with ur weight loss? we had surgery around the same time and myweight loss has been at a stand. At time it's fustrating, i just got my second fill and i don't feel any difference with my restriction. (

sucks) anyways hope u r doing well

  5. Today I got my 2nd fill, which I think went well. When the doctor filled my port I could feel the fluid going in. Which before I didn't feel anything. So hopefully I could notice a difference for this month.

Today I also met several other lapband talk members at my doctors office. They were great, nice to have met them.

  6. good for you, you did a great job!

  7. keep me poated on ur progress :)

  8. CONGRATS!!!

Hope you are doin well, so happy for you.

To answer ur question, Dr. Chio doesn't do anything he just stick you. It was really quick i didn't feel much pain.

the gas pain is furstration and gas-x didn't do much for me too but if u walk around it help. thats what helped me.

  9. Good for you, you did a great job.

  10. That is great you join a support group. I wish I could find one to join tool. I'm getting my 1st fill today, I have 2.5cc from surgery I wonder what the doctor will put in for me today. will keep u posted.

  11. I'm excited for you too. The closer you get to surgery you will have a lot of mix feeling but stay focus on what you want and you will be just fine. Today I get my 1st fill so I'm excited about it. I heard its painful but will see. so talk to you soo.

  12. I must say I'm going for my 1st fill on 5/4/10 and I can't wait.

  13. Well not much change since my last entry. When did you get banded?

  14. Well congradulation on making the decision on a new you. My experience with Strax went well. I'm a nurse so I didn't have a lot a questions. I think Strax weakness is proving detail information about what to expect. So ask a lot of question and do a lot of research.

Surgery day went well. The nurse who took care of me was a classmate while attending nursing school. I spent 1 hour at per-op, met with Dr. Chio we went over all the things I should expect after surgery.

After surgery I didn't feel much pain but I did feel alot of pressure in my chest. I stayed in post-op for an hour then I was discharged home.

The pressure lasted for about 9 days before I could get some relief. I took gas-x but it didn't help that much. People say walking around help and for me it did.

I'm happy to know someone else is having surgery with Straxs too. Lets keep in touch and we could be weight loss buddys. So keep me posted. How is you'ur pre-op diet going?

  15. I'm sorry you don't have much support but you need to stay focus on your goal. The people around can not be supportive to your goal because it's not theirs, just keep that in mind. I live alone so I don't have much temptation from others. I do have a lot of craving and eating behavior when I'm stressed and bored. Overall weight loss is a struggle no matter what.

I live in Miami FL. I would love to be support buddies.

  16. Hey My name is Regine and I was just going through your page and notice you recently got banded in March. Well I did too, I was banded on March 26. I like keeping up with people who got banded in the same month as I. I hope your progress is coming alone well. As for me I've lost a total of 26 lbs from my starting weight (219). I have about 2.5cc fill from surgery and waiting for my 1st fill on April 4. Well I guess I've said it all for now. Hope we keep in touch.

  17. Hey, my name is Regine and I had surgery on March 26. I see you had surgery on the 30th so just wanted to know how you're progress is going?

  18. Hello, my name is Regine and I'm trying to be in touch with people who were banded in March. I was banded March 26, 2010. I just wanted to know how is your progress going?

  19. Surgery was not really painful. The best way to explain the feeling is mostly pressure. I felt a lot of pressure in my abdomin. I didn't really feel my incision site soreness until 5 days later. Now whats kind of irritating is my port site. I couldn't find it at first, but as the swelling and pressure went down. I started to feel where the port site was and the annouing feeling I'm getting from it. I've never had surgery in my life so I think this was a great one.

  20. i started my pre-op diet today, it's wasn't bad but the pills made me really nauseas. the pills wouldn't go down my throat. i drank several cups of water and it still felt like the pills were in my chest. Even later in the day when i went to go work out i felt like the pills were coming up. it felt really nasty.
