  1. Lost another lb this week, it's better than gaining I suppose? Was hoping for more, but its a loss thats all that matters!

Thanks, I am having a hard time finding my groove, with the food part, but I am getting in what I can!!!

      m_rose

That's definitely something I am nervous about when the time comes. When you rely on food for so long and then you have no choice but not to - nerve wracking!

    3. pupichupi

      pupichupi

Yes it is, in fact Friday I was so upset, and I just wanted to curl up with some ice cream, which was always my comfort food presurgery, and now I can't even tolerate it? Not even frozen yogurt?

  6. Feeling Skinnier, but mind set when I buy cloths is still when I was heavy?

    1. pupichupi

      pupichupi

@hopeliveshere I am down to between a size 14 - 16 and I started at a 24 and so being down 10 sizes already in 5 months just seems insane to me, but also I think the same thing I am not going to fit in this specially when I hold these jeans up and loos at how small the waste is compared to what it used to be, it's just crazy to me that when I get them on and they fit some snug a little I still can get them on and zip them up and button them without fail and I am just like wow, how did this happen??? Then with tops I am still very conservative, and still buy XL to make sure I am covered I have never been very flashy, but I always like to be covered and don't want to show rolls or anything like that, so it's weird seeing that I can wear these things? Last night my son got his new football jersey, and so I tried it on with no fail it fit, and I was like holy moly my son is 9??? Then we got home and I tried on his jersey from last year, and OMG that was a youth large and it freaking fit me???? I almost fainted!!!

    2. hopeliveshere

      hopeliveshere

thats awesome. i just got into a size 14 as well for pants coming from size 22 and i have one dress that is a 12! i agree with you on the tops right away i pick up an XL still just to be modest. i wasnt brave enough to buy a bathing suit this year, hopefully next year.

    3. pupichupi

      pupichupi

Yeah I didn't buy a bathing suit either I just used the one I had last year which wasn't too bad as it was a two piece skirt bottom with a top that was just like a tank top so it still fit good enough!!!

  7. Am just amazed how great I feel. Being at my goal weight is a great feeling. I go shopping now and still feel like I should be wearing larger cloths, but I tried on a Medium top today and it was perfect., and to think I was going to just buy a large??? LOL

      pupichupi

Yeah I don't know how long it will take my brain as I have been at my goal for about 2 months and still I don't feel it mentally???? I also don't do a whole lot of shopping???? LOL I hate shopping even now???? Thanks @proudgrammy, it has been hard work getting here and I know it's gonna remain to be hard work to stay here, and I fully intend on putting in that work to stay right where I am!!! I am not letting myself go back!!!

  9. Ok So I took my first class of Zumba last night and it was amazing, Fun, and I felt so great after the class, I was so nervous at first but now I will definitely go back!!!

    1. Ginger Snaps

      Ginger Snaps

Isn't it funny how we're afraid of things just out of preconceived notions and then have a ball when we challenge our beliefs??? Good life lesson in lots of things.

    2. BladeFox

      BladeFox

I can't do Zumba or anything intense on the knees. Zumba is fun with the right instructor but not if you have one that lacks staying on beat :) Glad you are having fun!

    3. pupichupi

      pupichupi

@BladeFox, been a long time girly, glad to see your still here!!! Yeah I thought zumba was going to hurt my knees too, I was very nervous about taking the class just because of that, but I wore my knee brace and it turned out ok!!! I am going to try to keep going, but I need to find other things to do too!!! The instructor was great, and totally stayed on beat with the music!!!

  10. Well I lost 1 of the 2 lbs I gained last week, so I am happy about that, but we had my sons last football game saturday and so my life is now going to become less hectic running around so I can really start to concentrate on me and what I have to do to get the rest of this weight off.

    1. pupichupi

      pupichupi

Yes they do but I wouldn't give it up for the world, my son and watching him play football he is so dedicated and works so hard at what he does on that field, I love it!!! I just need to get off my rear end and stop slacking when it comes to me!!! That's my biggest problem is I just slack off cause I am tired by the time I get out of work, but need to really just get up and go.

    2. Ginger Snaps

      Ginger Snaps

I certainly understand... both of my boys were always active in sports and I KNOW how it takes so much of your time and energy. My "baby" is 15 now and my older son is 20 (daughter is 23 but she lives across the country), and I definitely have SO much more free time now that they are pretty self-sufficient. When they were younger and we had endless sports events going on, I would try to walk laps around the fields during practices (if they were too young just to drop off). I even did step ups on the bleachers sometimes mostly just to get the blood pumping when my butt was falling asleep on those bleachers!

It's a hard balance to find and I hope you find yours soon. Maybe since your son is active, you could get him to take fast walks with you or do some kind of physical challenges with him. My youngest plays lacrosse and even standing out in the yard with him tossing the ball is at least MOVING some! And I'd highly recommend trying to get up early and exercise at the beginning of the day. I was always SO much more successful doing that than if I waited until later in the day because like you said, after work you can really lack the energy. I KNOW nobody wants to get up early to exercise but it really does give you a great start to the day and usually nobody's needing mom's attention at 5 in the morning! ;)

    3. pupichupi

      pupichupi

True, I wish there were bleachers at the field where my son practiced? I would have done step ups!!! I walked the track some, but didn't do it as much as I should have. I totally agree with you about getting my son out walking with me, he needs to keep up the exercise to keep in shape cause he is a lazy one and will sit around and eat junk and get big, he is already a big boy, 9 years old and weighs 135 and that's only cause for the last 3 months he has been working out every day with football? He started football over 140? So he is the one that I need to get on the right track now before he ends up like i was? My daughter is a little skinny mini? She takes after her fathers family, and so I talk to her about working out and staying strong, but my son is the one I worry most about with obesity?

LOL, the guy that noticed is a good guy, he and I get along really good at work, and they all know that I had the surgery, but they see me everyday??? So it's nice when they say it cause they do see me everyday so the changes aren't as drastic to them? lol

  20. "Don't judge your progress by the progress of others" this is my quote of the day, as I think going into this that is what I thought would happen to me what was happening to others and the quickness of weight drop?

      Cupcake

Pupichupi i like those words, I am going to remember that while going through this, I am two days of my pre liquid diet and surgery is Monday. How is everything with you?
