    Free FREE FREE ....

Got it, and will go home today and download and start reading, sounds like my kind of book!! Thanks
  2. Well I lost 1 of the 2 lbs I gained last week, so I am happy about that, but we had my sons last football game saturday and so my life is now going to become less hectic running around so I can really start to concentrate on me and what I have to do to get the rest of this weight off.

Yes they do but I wouldn't give it up for the world, my son and watching him play football he is so dedicated and works so hard at what he does on that field, I love it!!! I just need to get off my rear end and stop slacking when it comes to me!!! That's my biggest problem is I just slack off cause I am tired by the time I get out of work, but need to really just get up and go.

I certainly understand... both of my boys were always active in sports and I KNOW how it takes so much of your time and energy. My "baby" is 15 now and my older son is 20 (daughter is 23 but she lives across the country), and I definitely have SO much more free time now that they are pretty self-sufficient. When they were younger and we had endless sports events going on, I would try to walk laps around the fields during practices (if they were too young just to drop off). I even did step ups on the bleachers sometimes mostly just to get the blood pumping when my butt was falling asleep on those bleachers!

It's a hard balance to find and I hope you find yours soon. Maybe since your son is active, you could get him to take fast walks with you or do some kind of physical challenges with him. My youngest plays lacrosse and even standing out in the yard with him tossing the ball is at least MOVING some! And I'd highly recommend trying to get up early and exercise at the beginning of the day. I was always SO much more successful doing that than if I waited until later in the day because like you said, after work you can really lack the energy. I KNOW nobody wants to get up early to exercise but it really does give you a great start to the day and usually nobody's needing mom's attention at 5 in the morning! ;)

True, I wish there were bleachers at the field where my son practiced? I would have done step ups!!! I walked the track some, but didn't do it as much as I should have. I totally agree with you about getting my son out walking with me, he needs to keep up the exercise to keep in shape cause he is a lazy one and will sit around and eat junk and get big, he is already a big boy, 9 years old and weighs 135 and that's only cause for the last 3 months he has been working out every day with football? He started football over 140? So he is the one that I need to get on the right track now before he ends up like i was? My daughter is a little skinny mini? She takes after her fathers family, and so I talk to her about working out and staying strong, but my son is the one I worry most about with obesity?

  5. Ugh so disgusted with myself, I gained 2 lbs for the first time in 7 months and I am so upset. Looks like it's time to re-evaluate what I am doing and eating!!!

      pink dahlia

Instead of being "disgusted with myself " over a tiny , normal fluctuation of 2 lbs, how about giving yourself a pat on the back for your progress so far ?

Pup, it happens to the best of us. This is what happens when you realize that you can eat a certain food that you hadn't been able to eat..or it could be hormonal or salt. You have been doing so great and I am proud of you, so you better not beat yourself up about this!!!

    3. pupichupi

      pupichupi

@Miss Mac good luck with your appt., @BladeFox thanks girl, I am really trying not to beat myself up, just chocking it up as a learning lesson, I havent found anything new I can eat, so I don't know how this happen, but I wasn't feeling good at all yesterday sharp pains in my stomach so I am wondering if that had a part in all of this? So I will just keep plugging along with this and see if next week is better? I was only 4 lbs from 200 and that is what discourages me, cause I am so close to onderland? lol

Funny I have to drop mine down. My B12 was double the high end of normal so now I just do the supplement every 2-3 days. Got some great tasting liquid you squirt under the tongue -- think it's Vitamin Shoppe's brand -- tastes like cinnamon.

    Dressing?

So I am currently 5-1/2 months post op and I am down 85 lbs. I am super excited about my weight loss, however, I am having a really hard time with dressing myself. Not really dressing myself, but realizing what I can wear now, I still look at cloths that don't show off what I have lost, I am still trying to dress like I used to dress? I started my journey off wearing a size 24 bottoms, and a 2 - 3XL tops and I am currently down to a size 14 bottoms and an XL top. I know my sizes but I am confused and I look at the sizes and I'm like no way that's not going to fit and I try it on, and it does and I am in shock, but I can remember when I was bigger looking at cloths that were way too small for me, and I would be like if I ever loose the weight this is how I am going to dress and now I am just scared to wear those cloths? I know I have accomplished so much, and I really hate spending a lot of money on cloths right now cause I know I am still loosing weight and I still have 65 lbs to get to my goal weight so I know I will go through more sizes, so why waste money on cloths that aren't going to fit in a few months? Does anyone else feel or felt this way while going through this transition? I have always been a baggy cloths person, and now with this new body I am finding I want to wear skinny jeans and stuff like that, but I also know I still have more to loose so I find myself asking myself if I really think I should be wearing certain things, and I hate looking like a slob when I dress, so I tend to be safe and just get t-shirts or polo shirts and just a standard jean? Something safe? I want to dress nice and don't find myself ever being able to? Any suggestions?
  13. coming to the end of the week and I am feeling restless for the weekend.

Pupichupi. Do you like walking , you can walk around your neighborhood or perhaps the mall, look into your community YMCA they have excercise program as low as $2.00 dollars per month. I hope this helps.

    Dressing?

@@FairySleeve it is hard with the shopping specially when your dropping so rapidly, Plus your still in the first 6 months of you surgery, and that is "Typically" when you loose the most weight, so my suggestions is when your in need of cloths, go to a second hand store for now just to have something here and there that will fit, cause you don't want to be buying expensive cloths that will fit for a month and then have to give them away? I haven't really spent any money on cloths that fit me at a normal store yet, I keep buying everything at a second hand store unless I find something on a clearance rack that is cheap, cause I don't want to spend a whole bunch of money on stuff that won't fit me in a few months I am now 6-1/2 months out and only have 33 lbs to go to get to my final goal, and I don't want to buy brand new cloths till then. I know about the panties problem, I have the same problem, and I have thrown away a lot of nice panties cause they were sagging off my rearend, so and buying those at a second hand store is just not an option so I would do the same thing as you have with that, but all your other cloths I would suggest just buying just what you need to get by and buying them cheap so you don't waste your money on them. Good luck

    Dressing?

@@kparadisek I have gotten rid of all my big cloths, I have some jeans that are size 14 that are baggier than I would like? I am not a baggy jeans girl anymore, I used to be, I hated anything that showed all the rolls and stuff I had, but now I like the skinny jeans. I hate bell bottoms, I am not big fan of anything that is real baggy though. I think that the stuff that I am having issues with is more the tops than the bottoms, I have always been more of a tom boy, and I always just like t-shirts and tank tops and stuff like that, but now I am finding that I want cute stuff, and stuff that looks a little more professional? I do still like my t-shirts and stuff like that, but not as much as I used to? I need to start shopping more for the tops than the bottoms? I don't know if I want my daughter to go shopping with me to help me pick out cloths as she is only 13 and she is VERY girly, and she and I don't have the same taste in cloths? Although my husband he is good too he loves picking me out cloths now? He is too funny.

it really does, I tried ice cream once this past summer and it made me ugh gross, and so I figured it was all the sugar, and so I tried sugar free frozen yogurt and the same thing, so I am all set with that, I do sugar free Popsicles??? I think maybe it's all the cream that are in those, I can't even drink the protein shakes post surgery cause they are too creamy even when I make them with water, but I can have greek yogurt? I don't know it's strange?
