CALL your doctor! I don't think you should be in pain. Don't think of it as if you acting like a hypocondriac... you just had surgery and need to be sure it is healing properly. You only get one body, and you want to keep it healthy that is why you had the surgery, right... so make sure you are healing properly! Your doctor would want you to call.

I was banded on 1-8-10 and I transitioned to soft foods on thursday night... i was starving on the clear liquid diet. I have found that I can eat way more that I expected and am hungry all the time but try to limit myself to every couple of hours. I'm not sure what to think of this. I am trying to make smart choices but have not had any problem with any foods yet... other than eating too fast once... that kinda hurt but only for about 3 minutes. I am hoping it will change when i get a fill. I'll be curious to see hou you progress too. Keep me posted!

I have to agree with adagray... buy what looks good... don't worry about the sizes. They are all so different. I can wear XXL tops from old navy but some of my 3x tops from Ross are too tight. Lane Bryant is deffinately sized on a bigger scale as that is who they market to, and the other stores are sized in etheopia...haha. My grandma told me a couple years ago to quit bothering to look at the size... it's better to look good in a 20 than look bad in a 16. Don't let it get you down... buy what looks good and cut the tag out! Sizes mean nothing, it's how we feel that counts! And btw... Way to go! You are doing GREAT!!!

Tomorrow will be 1 week since I was banded and It has been very hard at times. I am still starving to death and can't wait to eat something that may stick with me for more than 3 seconds. The good news it I get to try creamy foods tomorrow! Yay... and I have lost some weight... but not weighing in again until tomorrow, so I will post tomorrow how I did in week 1. The issues I had were completely my fault for trying to add coffee and a protien shake too soon, so I have learned my lesson. Please everyone be sure to follow "your" doctors orders... he/she gave them to you for a reason and just because it worked for someone else doesn't mean it will work the same for you. Be careful! Second issue I am finding is that I have not had a BM all week... has anyone else had this problem? I think i will try some prune juice tomorrow, but not today since it isn't a "clear" liquid... not taking any chances. Good luck to all!

i am in HELL right now... i feel sick and the saliva is discusting when it pours out my mouth and makes me feel like i'm going to puke. i am starving! i called the dr tonight and was told to do only hot liquids tonight and tomorrow and to call tomorrow. i just want to die, it sucks... starting to wonder whichis worse...fat or sick... i am 5 days post op and don't know if i'll make it... feeling like i might not right now. :cursing::thumbup::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing:

I am on day 5 post op and feel the same way... i just want to sleep it away. I'm waiting for a call back from the doctor tonight... i don't think i can do this much longer. I'll let you know what i am told.

I feel great, except that I am starving... i cheated a little today and ate a sugar free pudding... the clear liquids just aren't filling me up... any suggestions?

I had my surgery on Jan 8 in Mexico and was totally afraid of being in pain so when the pharmasist asked me how many days of pain meds i wanted i said 20?... he only had 16 so i bought them all... they are not narcotics, just Supradol... which is similar I am told to Ibprofin... but it disolves under the tongue and is mint flavored... yum. I used it Saturday evening, Sunday and this morning and have not been in any pain so i decided to skip it and feel just fine.

I had my surgery done in Mexico and it was fantastic! And only 5995. I used Dr. Lopez Corvala. I had a fantastic experience and will recommend this doctor to everyone.
