  1. lol I'm sure you are fine....I did the same thing....I would dip my fork in the potatoes because i just felt like I need something in me.
  2. I had my surgery on Monday and the pain is better. I stopped the pain meds and am taking extra strength Tylenol. I'm so sleepy and am having trouble drinking a lot of anything. I've been drinking 2-4oz shakes and water, but I just made some cream soup because my stomach was screaming at me and I found it went down pretty good. I was having a tough time with fluids going down really slow and yes it does feel like a bubble is there. I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling like that.
  3. I had to do 2 weeks of 4 protein shakes and 5-1/2 cups servings of sugar-free pudding, no sugar added applesauce, weight control oatmeal, or low-fat cream soups (strained). A Half a cup is not much But I'm happy to say I'm having my surgery on Monday!!!!! Then I have 2 weeks of just liquids to look forward to before going to mushy foods....:frown:.
  4. I started my pre-op diet on Monday and have been working out since then....I do 45 minutes on the arch trainer and the lift weight....I just make sure to have a shake and 1/2 of applesauce before and then when I get back from my workout I have a pudding. Good Luck!
  5. Oh gosh...a year form now??? I'm being banded the same day as you and I have 92 pounds to go till I reach my goal of 130. I'm hoping with a lot of hard work to be at that in a year. We'll see....
  6. My surgery is June 14th. I'm so excited. I'm currently on Day 2 of my 14 day liquid diet and it's going great. I just hit 40 pounds lost so far (since Jan.) and I know now that I will never see those pounds ever again. what a great feeling!!!!
  7. I'm on day 2 of my 14 day liquid diet and was told that I may get constipated....so far so good though....Good Luck!
  8. There are a lot of us....I'm so excited....starting my pre-op diet on Monday...hopefully these next 2 weeks go by fast. I don't even think I'm nervous about it yet. I feel like I've waited for this for so long I can't believe it's finally here.
  9. Found out yesterday that my insurance appeal was approved and I'm scheduled for June 14th.....I'm so excited!!!!!:smile2:
  10. I got the same letter and they said is was a pretty common thing. No worries. They had me go to the store and buy some vitamin d3.
  11. yay!!! That's where I'm at. I saw my nutritionist and she told me I'm ready.....so now comes the wait.....
  12. lol I have 2 exams this week and my Dr/Surgeon appt next week....I can't focus at all.....
  13. At my seminar, they went over the Lap-band surgery vs. the gastric by-pass. They talked about the risks and benefits of each....the recovery time...stuff like that. And it was nice because they also had 2 people that had each had one of the procedures, so they talked about their experiences and brought in before and after pics to pass around.
  14. OMG I know what you mean...I'm having a hard time focusing on school too
  15. That's great. It's nice to think about what the future may hold. I'm 31 (well soon to be), married with 2 children. I've always been overwieght, but just recently decided I want a change. I'm sick of going outside to play with my kids and just sitting there watching them run around. At my heaviest I weighed 271, but as of this morning I'm at 259. I went to the seminar on Jan 13th and know this is what I want. I'm going to the nurtritionist tomorrow for the first time and have my surgeon appt on the 17th. My insurance requires a 6 month dr. supervised diet too, but the nurse said they may accept my prior weight loss program, which I'm hoping they do. Good luck....we should keep in touch. It's always nice to have someone along the way with you
