  3. drmusicmom, I had the exact same thing 4 days ago 9/3. I am also having diarrhea, not so much burping. I am not having any problems getting down water or pro shakes or anything thus far. How are you?

    2 years post band trouble

I also have trouble with painful eating/keeping food down. I read somewhere that it could be mucus build up from your sinuses or something like that. It recommended taking a decongestant OR antacid. (I guess antacids kinda do the same thing as decongestants--dry you out). I've taken an antacid today and it seemed like it really helped! Keep in mind, I do NOT have acid reflux...everything but that!
  7. Kimaly, Wow, did you even read what she wrote Ms. Self Righteous? She said she worked hard. The band works really well for some people and doesn't work well at all for others. People don't want to believe that because they spent so much money, and doctors don't want to admit it because they make so much money off the band. My doctor even told me that studies have found that the appetite suppression diminishes with time, like after a year.
  8. Hi I was banded 5/21 (today is the 24th). The experience was not pleasant. Did not recover too well in the hospital, almost passed out once from pain, then had alot of pain the first night and day. I was prescribed Rociet? and stopped taking it after one day because it put me out and was disgusting going down. I think most of my discomfort was anesthesia/surgery related stuff, sore throat, headache-really bad for a day and a half, weak, and surgical pain at site of incisions. Started feeling alot better the 2nd day and today (my first day on full liquids) I feel alot better. I took a shower, got dressed, put in contacts, and feel human again. Still really unsure about what is going to work for me as far as eating. I have some gas but seems like acid too. Not sure if I'm full most of the time so I am weighing and measuring. The first two days on clear liquids, I did experience alot of hunger and digestive upset, if you know what I mean, so it was quite unpleasant. Today I got to eat pudding, yippee! Well gonna run to Walgreens now and try to get Gas-X strips that everyone is recommending. :tongue2: chow for now JoAnn287

I got banded on the 14th!

Hi, my first 2 were bad also. First night I just keep drugged and slept as much as possible. Next day was pretty painful too and I was scared that I made a mistake. Today, 3rd day, all is much better. My incisions are still tender and I'm learning what I can eat but feel much better.
