  1. Happy 30th Birthday FyrEMT!

  2. Happy 29th Birthday FyrEMT!

  3. I was with you on Jan 26th. I have only lost 16 pounds, but I just left the Dr's office and had my first fill today! A little nervous and excited for the change. i would love to hear about your progress if you want to keep in touch. Fyremt@gmail.com
  4. I was a horrible person the first 2 weeks of my surgery. I wish I could fast forward time for you all! The feeling of having to burp is swelling and there is nothing you can do for that right now but it will go away soon, I promise! When you get to mushies it will be the best thing in the world for about 3 days then you are going to want real food. Also remember that feeling hungry can mean you are actually thirsty too. It is VERY important to get your fluids in and don't forget them when you progress to mushies too. I'm almost 2 months out and still happy with my decision. It will get better. Best wishes for you all and a speedy recovery!
  5. Please don't think I'm crazy but I shake. When it feels like something has gotten stuck I do something like an upper body twist and bounce a little bit. It makes it go down faster and gets rid of the weird feeling. I do however try not to do it in public!
  6. I've tried to have someone burp me...it doesn't work! I did get a little squeaker out. It was more a tease than anything. I need a full on, earth shaking, BURP!

  7. The way I'm feeling don't be surprised if I take you up on that offer! This is horrible. Kept me up last night and I don't see tonight being any better.
  8. I too had my surgery on Jan 26th and have the same problem. That is what brought me on line this afternoon. It is so uncomfortable. I was starting to get worried, but I guess this is normal. Any help with being tired all the time? I also wanted to know if everyone on the liquid portion of the diet can't be to far from the restroom. I don't want to get into details, just want to know this is all normal.
  9. It is a little before 5am and I am a few hours shy of 24 hours after my surgery. I can say I am in a better place now with my pain. As far as coming in yesturday morning there was nothing to it. I signed in changed into my gown and got an iv. I never felt the injection for the blood thinner and as soon as I was up on the table I got my happy drug. I blinked and I was in recovery. My family and the nurses kept me comfortable and after a test this morning I will be going home. I would elaborate, but its hard to type with the iv ans blood oxygen monitor on my hand. I don't want to say nothing to it, but it was easier than I imagined.
  10. I am going in on the 26th. I am scared to death, but ready to do something for myself...
  11. Did anyone have problems with the intubation? It sounds like no one remembered! That is one of my biggest fears!
