  1. Hey All, My name is Myra and I am a new bander. I had my lap-band done on Dec 31, 2009... Way to keep a New Year's resolution. I am a week and two days into it and have just started on my mushy food stage. I am feeling pretty good about my decision, but had you asked me a week ago, I would've had a different answer. I seem to have the itchiest port hole ever!! I had some Fluid behind it, but I think that's starting to heal itself. Other than that I have been a model patient. I started my journey at 243lbs, in Sept 2009, which is when I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. I am now down to 214.2lbs as of this morning. My pre-pre-op diet weight was 239, then I lost 11lbs before surgery. I have since dropped 14lbs before my first fill. I am not do for a feel until Feb. I am excited. It looks like I can be under 200lbs before my 32nd birthday, in March!!
