I still have that horrible gas pain today. It just will not move. If that would go away I would be 100% again.

I've been thinking of buying one of those. Are they really as easy and great as the infomercial makes them out to be?

I read somewhere that instead of straining our Soup and drinking the juice that we could blend it all to a liquid consistency and just drink the whole thing. Now before I do this and mess something up I want to know what you guys think about this? Is that acceptable or not?? Also how much liquid should we consume at one time? What I mean is should we have a 1/4 cup of soup/broth at a time or does it matter?

That sounds good but I don't have any brocolli or velveeta:(

I had cream of chicken last night. I had the full fat version. It was okay. I love having just V 8 juice with some salt and pepper but it gives me heartburn. I also have some V8 Butternut Squash soup that I want to try. I love butternut squash so I'm hoping this soup will be good.

I've been burping a lot also. I thought I'd be burping less since I'm not drinking diet sodas anymore.

When does your doc allow full liquids? Mine allows them on day 2. I woke up from a nap today with a horrible gas pain under my ribs but above my port. I've been walking all day long and taking Gas X and it refuses to leave. It's okay as long as I sit down and don't try to stand up and do anything.

I ended up just swallowing it and it went down with no problems. They do make a liquid but it's $200 for a month's supply. My insurance won't cover the liquid at all.

The doc said I could lift my 4 month old but not my 3 year old. I'd wait a little while if I were you.

I'm not digging the pureed stage either but at least it's better than the choices I have right now.

When I got ready to leave the hospital my arm where my IV was was bleeding pretty good and 2 of my incisions were bleeding a bit. So the nurse used this heavy duty tape and taped gauze all over me. I got the tape off now I have all the left behind residue. It's all over my arm and my stomach. I tried soap and Water and I also tried baby oil. I thought oil might soften it or something but it didn't work. Any ideas how to get it off easily?

My Prozac went down no problem:) I've also managed to clean my kitchen, do my dishes and 2 loads of laundry. Plus I've gotten everything planned and ready to cook supper for the family- and of course my protein shake is already made. I guess I'll drink on that while I cook.

I'd love to see that myself!! I love doing home improvement stuff:) My next project is to tile the kitchen floor, utility room floor and the countertops. I fold all my laundry at my dining table. It's nice, clean and neat it just doesn't always get put away. We eat at the island in the kitchen though.

LOL! I love that! We have wood floors also and I can't stand clutter. My idea of cleaning house is to throw stuff away.

Yay!! I'm jealous:) I'd love some mashed potatoes right now. I'm starving. I've already had 64 oz of Water, a cup of tomato soup and 2 Protein shakes. You said you take Cymbalta right? I might try and take one of my Prozac and see what happens. I just can't stand being without it. I second the Powerade Zero also. I actually LOVE that stuff!

It was and that's making all my incisions look nasty. They have blood smeared all over them and then plastered there by the Dermabond. It's hard to tell where 2 of them start and end. I'm loving that Syntrax! I already went through my samples and ordered 2 full size tubs. That stuff tastes awesome!

I'm hungry too!! I'm so ready to eat something real. I got up starving this morning. I've had 2 glasses of Water, a can of tomato Soup and an 8oz Protein shake and I'm still hungry. I don't see my doc again until next week.

Okay I called my mom and she works for a surgeon. He said it sounded like it was infected and to call my surgeon ASAP. So I called my surgeon and his nurse said to keep an eye on it today and call her back first thing tomorrow morning and tell her how it looks. She thinks it's not an infection but a reaction I'm having to the Dermabond. I'm not sure. I know the last abdominal surgery I had was my gallbladder and I was fine with the Dermabond but I had a major reaction to the sutures. My body expelled them after 3 days and my wounds got infected. So I watch surgical incisions very closely now.

It's covered in Dermabond. I have showered and cleaned it but since it's all covered in Dermabond you can't really clean it. I have no fever.

They look like what you get after an ant stings you. You know those little white head/pimple things?

Well I told 2 friends, my ds, dh, my mom and my MIL. My ds told me today that MIL has now told my SIL and my mom has now told my grandma so everyone knows by now I'm sure:(

It's hard to get a pic of but there's a pink/red area on the edge of my incision. In the middle of that area there are 3 heads. They look like whiteheads. Should I be concerned or just keep an eye on it? I know this incision looks awful. They didn't clean them very well before they applied the Dermabond and it kind of smeared the blood.

I called the surgeon and they said I can swallow it whole again next week. For now they said to mix it with applesauce and splenda- it's just a no go it's too gross and bitter. I called my PCP and I'm waiting to see what she says. I must have my prozac.

I was told to cut all my pills in half which is fine except I take Prozac. It's a gelcap and can't be split. So I was told to open it and take the powder inside instead. Well I tried that and it was NASTY! I tried adding juice and splenda to it I even have a Flavor RX kit to flavor my kids medicines I tried that also and it was still way too bitter and nasty to take. So my mom told me take it anyway it's gel it will dissolve. But if it gets stuck I will be in pain until it dissolves right? I've been without it since Friday and I can really tell! How long will it be before I can swallow it again? I plan to call the surgeon and my PCP later and see what else we can work out.
