  1. My 40thbirthday was 6 weeks after surgery. While it broke every rule and I don't encourage it. I did it and didn't die. I've had maybe 4 drinks in the 6 months since surgery, don't think I actually finished any of them. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6
  2. Intense pain is not normal, you should seek medical attention. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6
  3. Mine would only have been bigger because of the slip and prolapse. If I'd had a normally placed and functioning band it would not have been an issue. Done in 2 steps I had an amazingly easy recovery from both surgeries and no complications at all. Trust my surgeons judgement after all this!!!
  4. Mostly I don't even think about it now. And u do still fear passion gas at times. I've yet to have a wet one but it sure feels like it's gonna be!!! Totally worth having the grumblies 24/7 though!
  5. There's not really a way to predict who will or won't get ulcers. NSAIDS and tobacco increase your risk (as they do in people with normal stomachs) but I'm sure you've seen people on here who do neither and got ulcers. The VAST majority of us will not get an ulcer, but just as there is with people who have not had bariatric surgery, there's always a chance! Best of luck with your decision!!! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6
  6. I do it all the time, rumblies in my tumblies. Doesn't seem to matter what foods or Vitamins. I just have a funky gut (I'm 6 months out) its not really painful, just the pressure you get pre-diarrhea, but never get the diarrhea. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6
  7. I'm a single mom with A 9 year old son, I go on strike too if he gets unappreciative. I work full time to support use, have to take care of the house and yard, have him in soccer and cub scouts, and serve as both his mom and dad. We are BUSY! There's no reason for him To disrespect or be unappreciative. It never lasts long but at various times he's gotten stupid and had to do his own laundry (he usually helps me so he knows how to do it) or his own meals. It's actually pretty funny! I'm also told often that I have the kindest and most thoughtful young man ever so something is working (when he helps with dinner he says its great he's learning how to cook so when he's married and his wife comes home tired from work he can take care if her and their kids). I do not miss 'raising' an unappreciative jerk husband! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6
  8. Do you have an old photo?? Do a side by side and we'll tell you how fabulous you are because you are rocking it!!!!! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6
  9. Trust your program, not an app. Your program knows you and your goals. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6
  10. Slow and steady, but I started out slow and steady before I got the ring....not losing as fast as my peers, but doing fine so not stressing it. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6
  11. That was many years before surgery. I'm a nuvaring girl now. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6
  12. Oh so soon you'll be odiferous October!!!! . Sorry, I had to! you just don't understand til a couple weeks post-op!
  13. More likely dehydration causing the low blood pressure. Be careful! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6
  14. Please find out exactly what 'physician fees' includes. You will be responsible for your co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles. Many doctors charge a small program fee but $2000 would be ridiculous. If the $2000 is your estimated total out of pocket cost that might be acceptable (mine was around $1100), if the items I mentioned above aren't included I would look for a second opinion!!! Good luck!!!! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6
  15. Chicks Parmesan casserole with whole wheat pasta. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6
  16. It varies per surgeon, I was supposed to be 600 calories but often was 400-500. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6
  17. According to MFP . Fairly certain that would kill me. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6
  18. I mashed egg salad until pulverized ( you can squish it, shred it, or blenderize it) boiled eggs, mayo (I use olive oil mayo) salt and pepper. Tasted like real food!!!!! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6
  19. I had one for breakfast today and thought the same darn thing!!!! I only bought it cuz it said crunch. Ha! Just as mushy as the rest of em! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6
  20. My family are all such brats. The son, father, and brother all offer advice on what I should order based on what they want to mooch off my plate. I think, if I couldn't eat with my family, I'd be lost....that would be REALLY hard for me! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6
  21. Lol, what can I say, I have stubborn fat. I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt, that I'd stall right at 200. I haven't been <200 since high school! I think they have a pool going at work to see how long it takes me HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6
  22. I'm STARTING to not always see the fat girl...some days I do, some days I don't, it's improvement from seeing her 24/7! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.6
