  1. And this is why I keep coming back here . Thanks guys! You may not have solved my mental anguish but your made me feel somewhat normal about it . I'm in the Florida Keys this week for continuing education, I do believe I need to do some lingerie shopping before I had home! (I've rented a convertible and happened to get a gorgeous camaro...the number of men I had drooling as I drove by today was awesome! Makes me wanna trade in the mini van!!!)
  2. ROFLMAO in all honesty this is probably the exact truth!!!!
  3. But darnit, I'm only 40!!! I do want to have sex again!!!!!!
  4. We'll see if he's truly great it's only been 3 dates, he may be faking it! He's a bit on the chunky side. I honestly think he'll be all sweet and tell me I'm gorgeous n such. Just not sure how *I* am going to be able to get to the point I can let him see my saggy baggies! Sometimes I HATE being a girl!!!!
  5. I've been single FOREVER (9 years). And had enough naked insecurities pre-op because I was fat and hated myself.....hadn't thought about how hard this would be :/. Can't I just get a total body transplant?!?!
  6. So I've had date 3 with the really sweet guy and things are going well. And starting to get a little frisky. And, well, it may not be date 4 or 5 but if it continues to go this well I'm eventually going to have to get naked. And I'm ugly naked. I look like I'm half sharpei puppy. Saggy wrinkles everywhere!!! How am I EVER going to be able to do this?!?!?!? (He knows I've had the surgery, he knows how much I used to weigh, he knows I'm insecure and he's not pushing at all) I'm finally getting to where I like the me I see in the mirror with clothes on! That's huge! But man it gotta get over the naked insecurities.
  7. It took me a good 6-8 weeks to not feel crazy and get mad and cry at EVERYTHING....hope you feel better soon. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198
  8. My surgeon does it in one but warns you it may be two. Tada! I was two....I cannot imagine what right an insurance company would have to say that it has to be 2 surgeries though...I think I'm with you in calling BS! Good luck!!!
  9. It's horrible . For my RNY (my revision) I already KNEW I was approved but was still convinced they'd change their mind until I actually got the darn surgery and was totally DONE....this will make you totally crazy . Best of luck!
  10. the ridiculous taste and smell thing lasted 2-3 months post op for me..HATED the taste of water...was totally weird. Hope the pain goes away quickly HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198
  11. It's way down under gastric bypass support groups I believe. There are definitely some horror stories, sadly. I'll take my darn dumping and be thrilled that's my only problem. Blessed I am! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198
  12. Fingers crossed, keep us updated!!! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198
  13. No no no, no giving up!!! Keep pushing til the bitter end. It totally sucks but is so worth it. Also, I think the staff like to put the fear of God in us . Hopefully she's bluffing and all will be fine. GOOD LUCK!!!!! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198
  14. And to the original poster, my apologies. I was hoping with a little nudge we could get back on topic. Obviously I was incorrect. Best of luck with your surgery, I hope you get the info you were looking for. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198
  15. I've had some people ask questions I thought were legit, only to type out a long heartfelt response and find out they were full of crap and I'd wasted 30 minutes of my life trying to help. Listen, I'm not defending her, nor am I defending her counterpart. I don't think any of the parties here are 100% innocent! but I do think following each other around and posting things simply to try and make someone else look bad is childish and immature. Y'all deal with it somewhere else, this is not the place. The original poster had a legitimate question which has completely gone by the wayside now due to this whole mess. As said above, I don't care if y'all don't like each other, take it somewhere else. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198
  16. I actually don't think the troll question was ridiculous nor do I think her response was inappropriate. At least she's on topic. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198
  17. So, back on topic, what I heard over and over and OVER was that I'd never be able to eat again and I'd end up anorexic and so emaciated i'd be unhealthy. Obviously that's not an issue. Now to the other issue that is popping up on here, please try to keep on topic. If you have a personal problem with someone take it private OR make your own thread and rant and rave and call each other names there. I considerate it inappropriate to hijack someone else's posts for your private issues that frankly I don't want to read. (And I wanted to read this thread, I find it a very interesting question) HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198
  18. So what do you consider a stall? Just curious.
  19. They do not help with loose skin. They are completely temporary as mentioned about but there is absolutely no magic fix for loose skin other than surgical repair. Darnit, I really wish there was.
  20. Not totally stalled but losing SLOW like 2 pounds a month, maybe, on a good month, for the last 4 months or so. Like you, I'll take it and be happy. I'd really another 20 pounds off, wouldn't be at a normal BMI but I think I could stay at 175 and be happy with the overall out come. Still, extremely glad I made this choice!!! We had an argument at work today. I swore up and down that another girl and I had the same sized butt, everyone in the joint kept arguing that no, I'm smaller. I just knew I was right. In the end I'm in a very loose size 14 pants, she's comfortable in a 16. My butt IS smaller but I just really have no grasp on it yet.
  21. http://diabetes.niddk.nih.gov/dm/pubs/A1CTest/ Here are the guidelines. An A1C 6.5 or higher is diagnostic for diabetes. An A1C of 5.7-6.4 is prediabetes. Hope this helps! Either way RNY us your best option for improvement HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198
  22. OMG that face!!!! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198
