  2. Happy 27th Birthday HelloToes!

  3. Hi!

I had the same issues w food but my doc said that it's normal. I lost 6lbs then hit a plateau for a week. He was like, that's ok and some people actually gain.

I've been setting a timer for water every hour which has been helping a lot. Also sugar free jello snacks are my best friend then lunch it's either plain tuna or cottage cheese. then dinner I've been doing ground turkey with Spinach or salmon/lettuce. Not the GREATEST food choices but I tend to eat the correct portions and have been feeling full longer with those foods. OH adding benefiber to water does wonders.

My stomach looked more bloated than usual but this past week it's been going back to 'normal' ie the skin around my scar isn't swollen around giving me extra 'curves'. My doctor has been very conservative on fills-I don't go in for my first fill until Feb 10!

Let me know how things are going and/or if you have any tips that I can use :)

  4. heyy!

Ya that would be awesome, I'm on the stage after mooshies right now my doc is trying to speed it up so I can get my 1st fill before I go back to school. My surgery went very well, what are we...2 weeks and 4 days post op? I'd say recovery was fast I've been in the gym for a good 10 days, how about you? I'm a little nervous, because I don't know if my pouch is stretched or all my swelling is down and I need a fill but I feel wide open and can eat more than the cup or cup and a half. It's a bit scary, how does eating feel for you at this stage of the game?

Thanks so much for sending me a message it's great to hear from you and I'd love to keep in touch!

    Anesthesia

Thanks!!! Surgery went well and I've lost 7lbs since then (need to update my ticker) no issues thankfully. Also, my super amazing doctor only made one incision on my stomach for the port and I couldn't be happier. This is probably one of the best decisions I have ever made. I go in for my first fill in about 1 1/2 weeks, can't wait to lose even more weight by then. It seems like I'm averaging 3.5lbs a week which is great-maybe I'll reach my goal weight sooner than my one year goal ::keeps fingers crossed:::smile2:
  6. Hey,

    How did your surgery go?

Since we had surgery on the same date we should definitely try and stay in touch :) I have a food log I'm making sure to fill out so that I can track my calorie intake and workouts. Let me know if you want me to email it to you :)

  7. hey, thanks, the color is black and its from hot topic, my fav kind i ever bought there, i just checked the website and they didnt have it on there but it was a eye palette, it had a dark blue, purple, pink, gold and black in it but i think if you get the smokey eye palette im pretty sure itll do the same and i put eyeliner on before i put the eye shadow on

    Anesthesia

My surgery is scheduled for a little more than eight hours from now. This is a very similar fear that I am experiencing. I have been reminding myself that for my child's birth I underwent general anesthesia and came out fine (had major pregnancy complications). I also have to remember that for us this is a HUGE HUGE HUGE deal but for our anesthesiologists we are one of hundreds of patients that they work with and it's just an ordinary day. Also, I have been chanting to myself : My body deserves better! This fear is NOTHING compared to all that I am losing out on if I don't go through with it. Hope this helps

    Self deception

I think this is something that I am fearful of as well. I have my surgery this Thursday and I almost feel like I will be a major failure because I'll find a way to 'cheat' somehow. I do have a therapist that I see weekly which I decided to start seeing the same week I decided to undergo lap band surgery back in September. How well did you do with your pre-op liquid diet? I keep cheating, the Protein Shakes just taste like crap. I find more often days than not I will skip a Protein Shake only to over-eat for dinner time (the one time I AM allowed non-liquids).
