  1. Hi all! I am scheduled for surgery on February 22, 2010. I have been in the program for over 6 months (because of insurance requirements) and I am happy to finally have a surgery date. My surgeon is Dr. Julie Kim and I've heard only wonderful things about her, met her and she is very nice. I have to say that every single person I have come into contact with at Tufts is wonderful, friendly and encouraging. I think they prefer the gastric by-pass, at least in my case but I am committed to doing well with the lap band.
