Sharon, Dont tell Jane....she wanted to come home on the Saturday as well, but was told she should stay till Sunday. You know that Charleroi is quite a way.....about 60 miles if I remember?

JerseyBean, We decided on Eurostar as it was quite a bit cheaper (partly I suppose 'cos we were only booking a few weeks ahead). Eurostar was £99 return, with the birmingham to London train £18 (one way - I am going to pick her up in London on the way back). I am not going - Jane would prefer me to mind the dog rather than get under her feet. SharonT, Jane is booked into the Campanile Thursday (14) and Saturday (16). BTW the only sensible way to get to the hotel from the airport is by taxi - even though the Brussels taxis are not cheap. I dont think that the Campanile has an airport shuttle. Sounds like Chris is busy on the 15th then.... Best wishes...jon ps I cant find the lady on the main thread....

JerseyBean, My wife is now booked in for the 15th.....(she cant wait) We are also from the West Midlands. She is going via Eurostar to Brussels, then there is a quick train ride to Vilvoorde. The Campanile hotel is near the station. jon ps sorry, read through the thread now...see you are not going till Feb I used to work in that area (actually Zaventum, near the airport) so know that part of the world a bit, so might be able to help with questions (about the logistics, not the lapband)
