It was starting to look really bleak and dangerous healthwise because I was only four pounds from 300 pounds at a wopping 296 pounds. It slowly creeped up after I had a back injury at work. I am dealing with comorbidities such as sleep apnea, asthma, gerd, fatty liver, pre diabetic, and others that I can't think of right now. One of my doctors said I was going to die if I didn't do something. Well, here I am pre surgery and doing something for myself and my family. I will be having lap band surgery on December 22, 2009. Hopefully I will have to take less pain meds after the surgery. My primary doc said I wouldn't need any pain meds after losing weight. I said you're on!!! I do have scar tissue and nerver damage so I think I won't be off of all of it but hopefully most. Wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I am very happily married to a widower, so have three wonderful step children, all girls, disability retired due to back pain. I am a 55 year old female, 5', 7" tall.
