OK...  Here goes.  I am fat and I hate, no I despise my body.  How did I get here.  I am sure this is a redundant question but it is a honest one.  I have ALWAYS..... struggled with my weight.  You name it I have done it.  I have what my doctor and my friends call an "all or nothing" personality.  I go to the gym 7-days a week and basically eat Oatmeal for breakfast, an apple for lunch and Oatmeal again for dinner.  I lose inches but then I fall off and gain the inches back plus more.  I went to doctor and he came right out and said you are obese....  Not just obese but severely obese.  I always new I was somewhat over weight but to hear those words directed towards me felt like I had been hit with a ton of bricks literally....Well enough of my sob story.  By happenstance I mentioned I wanted the lap band and he informed me that I was eligible.  I know it is a process so he scheduled me an appointment last week with the dietician and she signed me up for the seminar on the 17th of December.  Now that the ball is rolling the surgery is all I think about.  I think about how different my life could be.  How I can enjoy the summer instead of dreading it because I am not comfortable in my own skin less known can fit into anything.  The only scary part is that I am afraid my insurance will not pay for procedure.  I have Blue Cross Blue Shieldand they extremely particular, but I am believing God to make away.
