I have had a weight loss problem since I was 5 yrs old.  I had a bad marriage and my weight climbed to 230 lbs by the time I was 25.  At 26 yrs I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and type II diabetes.  After my divorce I thought I would lose weight and get on with my life.  Over all the years I tried every diet, program there was with no success. I am a nurse and talked with my surgeon and decided this was the way to go. I had the lap-band surgery in May 2004 before my daughters wedding. I have lost up to 70 pounds , but that was after chemo.  ( I survived 2 bouts of Breast Cancer) 2001 and 2006. I now hang around the 60 lb wt loss. I still struggle, but have a healthier relationship with a man and my food.
