checking in 4 months post op

honestly I felt tighter after my first fill. my second fill felt like he loosened it. LOL I get my third fill next wednesday the 12th. I went in for a fill 6 weeks ago and he turned me down for a fill - said he thought i had more to lose on the current fill. I didn't drop much since then less than ten. so I'm ready for my 3rd fill - I can't wait. I'm going to do liquids a day early hoping to jump start the losing.
  7. Well I'm 4 months post -op and down 50 pounds. It feels great. I can't wait to lose more. I had my lap band surgery with Dr. Schuster at St.s Mary & Elizabeth in Louisville, Kentucky. Things couldn't have have been better. Little pain if any. Was very smooth. I've only had 2 fills so far. I get my 3rd fill next Wednesday the 12th. is 50 pounds in 4 months decent? I kinda feel like I've stalled but - I know i'm getting another fill soon. I'm really wanting to hit 100 pounds lost in a year.
  8. hey stranger, how ya doing? long time no talk!

    Chewable (yummy) Calcium!

I chew flintstones (the orange box ones) - lol I've been taking them since I was a kid. Pretty much non-stop. Now I have an excuse to take childrens Vitamins. My Surgeon's office actually recommends them. And they are yummy. :smile2:
  11. I learned to chug my shakes with a straw and get it over quick. LOL I did Atkins shakes - they weren't great but not that bad. I like you would hate any brand I'm sure.
  12. I had daily reflux issues. I took prilosec daily as a treatment for a couple years. Since the surgery I haven't had an issue or needed the pills. Woohoo.
  13. OMG last night I had my first stuck moment and I PB'd (productive burp - polite for I threw up my last bite) lol I'll describe it. So I had 2 JTM Burgers (small square burgers) cooked on the George Foreman grill Almost as soon as I take my last bite I instantly felt full - well this time I felt more stuffed. I sit there a minute and have this feeling like I can't talk or do anything I just felt frozen in place. I know some people say get up and walk. so as I'm getting up it hits me. I suddenly start yacking sounds and feel like I'm going to hurl. Finally a few seconds (felt like an eternity during) I regurgitated my last bite. I'm a gag'r and omg I felt like I was going to hurl big time. It took a few minutes for me to relax but I felt great afterwards. Lesson Learned: I ate to fast!!! Slow down people it sucks. lol

    December Delights 2009

hey thanks everyone i'm glad you like my post. I have less than a pound to go until I hit 30 pounds gone forever. After the workout i had last night If I do it again tonight I'm sure to break the 30 pound mark tomorrow. LOL I did a 13 minute mile on the cross trainer (sorta like an eliptical) after already doing 20+ minutes on the treadmill with a 2.5 incline and 3 miles an hour speed. I was dripping sweat. LOL
  15. no worries all i gained weight for like 2 full weeks after surgery. - I'm only barely over a month out and down 30 pounds. Watch what you eat and hit the gym - you need to know your target heart rate and go get a good workout in. Link to calculate target heart rate: Tool: Target heart rate calculator - MayoClinic.com
