    Ashamed

I'm not gonna lie... I'm totally okay with people asking how much weight I've lost. Most of the time they're shocked to know that I've lost over 70 lbs in 10 months. I'm super proud, weight loss surgery or not, of my weight loss. I'm proud of the 194 I weigh now. Yes, I've got a lot to go, but most people can't even believe I weigh what I do. Hell I'll even tell them where I started, where I'm at, and what my goal is, and usually they'll congratulate me. For me I think it's a head thing.... I want people to be proud of me, I think that's what helps push me to get to my goal weight.

    Why can't I sleep?

I also had my band removed, but had the sleeve... I couldn't sleep well for a couple of weeks afterward. I think It had to do with the pain meds because after I stopped taking them, I was back to normal in a few days. Hopefully it gets better!

    Fitness Tracker

I've got the Fitbit. And I use it in the shower, and the pool. I've done Aqua Zumba, and swam with it all summer with out any issues. ????

    Getting intimate

Could, but how realistic is that really?

    Getting intimate

Ok, so I've lost 60lbs so far, I've got the "Tina, the talking tummy" issue, or the "apron" stomach. It hangs, and it's disgusting. Since losing the weight, and having a baby prior, I absolutely hate it. I always feel the need to explain to men about my situation. I already know the "if they love/like you, they won't care" so I'm not looking for that answer, but what do you women tell men, or visa versa, or do you not tell them at all? I'm just afraid of being rejected I guess. Does anyone else have this fear?
  6. I'm having issues. Grr. What things help you guys? This is what I've tried in the last 24 hours: Stool softeners Over 64 oz Fluid Fiber one bar Pop corn A few gummy bears (don't judge, ONLY in hopes that the sugar would dislodge anything, like it would any other time. Lol) I've also been trying to eat anything high in fiber, yet low in sugar. And going to my sisters (I swear every time I go there i have to go....except this time, dang it!)
  7. I would love to be added as well. I'm about 4 months out....40 lbs lost but I've hit a plateau and I'm a grazer ???? My name is sandi Jaco.....saline mi

    Insomnia?

I had/have the same issue. I was sleeved on 4/8. I feel like it's slowly getting better though ????

    Lady question...

I just got the mirena on March 2nd. My surgery was April 8th. I'm STILL bleeding. What gives?! I hope it stops soon. The money I'm not spending on food is going towards pads. Lol

    Holy heart burn!

Hopefully it'll go away. I may just have to cut my esophagus out, lol.
  11. Sleeved on 4/8. No issues, no complications. Took the prescribed Zantac after surgery. About 2 days before my two week appt, I've been getting heart burn. The doc, which isn't my normal doc said it wasn't normal since I didn't have any issues immediately following surgery, and prescribed something stronger. Prior to the surgery, it wasn't an issue either, what gives?! Does anyone that has been sleeved have to take meds daily for this dreaded heart burn?
  12. From the book that I got from my doctor, it says in the first 2 weeks you'll lose 5-10% of your goal weight. So for instance, I want to lose 140lbs. In the first 2 weeks, I should lose 7-14 lbs. so I'd say you're doing pretty good
  13. Hey! I had the band done in Mexico in 2010. I had a ton of issues, now i'm getting it removed tomorrow, and the sleeve done. I'm going with Dr Poplawski at Barix Clinics here in Ypsilanti. You may want to try him. If he is doing it for me, He can do it for you to i'm sure
  14. Happy 29th Birthday sandi_022!

  15. So its not 100% official (doc appt tomorrow) but my at home pregnancy test says I'm pregnant. I called my band Dr and the nurse said id have to have it taken all out but then said the ob usually wants it taken out.... I don't like that answer specially since I'm afraid of gaining wayyyy to much back. Sooo my question....how many of you had your doc leave your fills in? Did you have a choice? What are the risks of leaving it in? I'm sure I could get this from google but id rather have real answers
