    Zoloft anybody?

LAN2K, I'm really new on here I spend alot of time just lurking, I'm getting the sleeve on Feb 15th by Dr. Aceves. I really felt the need to respond to your question about anxiety and Zolft. I suffer myself from pretty bad anxiety, it came out when I was around 23 (that was 20 years ago), I went to the hospital for anxiety attacks, I would lay on the couch watching TV and hyperventolate, it was crazy and I thought i was going crazy, after trying various medications my doctor put me on Zoloft, I'll tell you within a week I felt so much relief, I just felt like I was at a normal level. I took Zoloft for about 15 years, after being on the medication throughout the years I realized I was getting more and more tired, I was taking naps on a daily basis when I got home from work, I knew it probably was becaus of the medication, I guess you shouldn't stay on one too very long because your body can adapt, Doctor had tried to get me to change, but I never ever wanted to feel the way I did when it first started. A couple of years ago, I started dating someone who coaxed me into at least changing the medication to something that didn't make me so lethargic, I did with only a few days of not too bad anxiety issues and am now taking Celexa. So, I loved Zoloft when I started taking it and it worked for me for quite a few years, Everyone reacts to meds differently. You can also try taking it in the morning right when you wake up, maybe that will help you also. I hope this helps. Wendy
  5. Hi Fab,

I see we live in the same are, I'm from Bonney Lake which is just near Puyallup, I have scheduled to have the sleeve on Feb 15th in Mexicali.

What has been keeping me up at night is the concern for finding a doctor for after care, I have support from a family doctor but she is not a surgoen and would probably refer me out. have you had to get any after care? who do you go to.

Also, I'm trying to find an open support group in my area, would you have leads for that?

basically, I would love to hear your story.

    Wendy

  6. Hi Bunches,

I see you live in my area, I 'm in Bonney Lake, I have been scheduled for the sleeve on Feb 15th in Mexicali.

I'm a self payer and my main concern (that has been keeping me awake at night), is finding a doctor for after care, have you any advise on this? I see your going out of state also, and was wondering if you have learned anything on this.

I am also looking for an OPEN support group to attend.

    Your advise is greatly appreciated.

    Wendy

  7. Hi Susan,

I am contacting you because I see you are from Lacey Washington, I live in Bonney Lake.

I'm scheduled to be sleeved in Mexicali on Feb 15th, cash payer and my biggest concern is getting after care for a doctor in this area, from what I have been hearing is that alot of Doctors won't touch people if they didn't provide the surgery let alone if they had it done in Mexico.

The other thing I am looking for is an open support group that I can attend.

I would greatly appreciate any advise you can give me.

    Wendy
