Hi All I wanted to share some news with you guys about my weight loss surgery. Finally I took a very important decision of my life and take control of it for better. My sleeve gastrectomy is scheduled for Thursday. I did a lot of research and finally zeroed in for Dr Miguel Zapata, Monterrey, Mexico. There are a number of reasons for opting for this doctor. I am quite excited as well as apprehensive about it as my life is gonna a take a different turn after the surgery. I was not always this big!! After the birth of my 2 kids, I gained weight and never lost since then. I weigh 220 lbs and I am just 5'3''. I have all my hopes set on this surgery..........I live in NJ and will be flying today for Mexico. Right now I am waiting for my flight, so thought of writing in the forums.Dr Zapata works with a wonderful travel agent that has helped me select fligths with wheel chair assist through Atlanta (my connection point from NJ). I am hoping everything will go fine. I'll keep posting and let you know how things are going.....
