  1. I know that my son-in-law, also tried it for awhile. He ate 2 of everything because he was super hungry. he lsot some weight. But, since he had lapband he has done much better and isn't super hungry anymore. but, I can't answer the questions of if it would be good for us. Why don't you try one of the frozen meals they are less expensive. Best wishes!Karen
  2. I have no advice, but want to give you a hug. ((((((hug)))))!!! Best wishes. (oh, I would include your Lapband surgeon into your search). Karen
  3. If, I have apples, it has to be without skin. The skin of any fruit, and also the membrane of citrus, I can't get down. Congrats on your success at eating your first apple! Karen
  4. I drink at least 2 large cups of coffee a day. I, like, B-52, returned to coffee shortly after surgery. I drink with skim, which is considered clear liquid. So, after putting up with clear tea for a week, I switched to coffee. Best wishes. Karen
  5. Neither did i! This place is getting to be real uptight. Alex seems to be doing a good job, and self policing is the way for adults to act.
  6. Wow! with a weight loss like that, I am surprised that the PA gave you a fill, my surgeon's office would not! You are doing fantastic, keep the weightloss up!
  7. Wise women here! They speak the truth. Do some self speak to see if you speak the truth to yourself! Best wishes! Karen
  8. Such good news! Keep on going!!! Karen
  9. I was able to get this from my surgeon's office because I didn't want to go to my own PCP. My son, also, completed his 6 month pre-diet with the same surgeon's office. Just make sure that your appointments are at least 30 days apart!!!!!! Not being the month apart can/will affect your insurance coverage. Best wishes, and welcome to you future! Karen
  10. Stay safe folks up north. I remember Nor'easters well. Those were the only storms that scared me when I lived in Maryland. the February storms in Maryland were always memorable. Living in D.C. area, when they hit, the world ended! But, I remember a Feb. where D.C. area got over 22 inches at Washington's birthday! Hated Washington's birthday weekend storms! LOL! Best wishes, folks! Karen
  11. this conversation is about as weird as the nails were, but I guess when you are preparing for the "big one" there is not much else to do!!!Stay warm, and dry. I will be thinking about the nor'easter and hurricane force winds up there while i stay sunny and warm here in central Florida. Just has to have my car air conditioner recharged today, it was about 90 degrees!
  12. You should be a testimonial for lapband surgery! Greta job, and thanks for the update! Karen
  13. Absolutely, I agree it is wonderful to see positive press! I have my ups/downs with maintenance, but could not be happier!
  14. Yes, you are do overs, but you both have those marvelous babies to hold and love while you lose your excess weights. Congrats to you both! Karen
  15. time to go shopping! You are going to loose your skirts, silly girl! As short as you are, you would look much more attractive in a skirt about to your knee! Great NSV!!!!
  16. I loved that feeling, I had the same aha moment a couple years ago! congrats to you on your NSV!!!That is a sweet one!
  17. It does not sound like you need a fill. if you don't think you do, and your surgeon doesn't, then probably you are okay. bets wishes, Karen
  18. (((((hugs)))), best wishes. Sorry to hear about your problems, but looks like you have done marvelously, even with the problem!
  19. I was retired by the time I had my surgery, so can't say about going back to work. But, I was pretty good by the weekend, I had surgery on Friday and was up for church on Sunday morning, singing in the choir! My surgeon had his done in Mexico by Dr. Ortiz, and claims it was on Friday and he was doing surgery back here in Florida by Monday morning!
  20. Just don't try gulping it down, as it might go down slowly
  21. The assistant in my surgeon's office told my son that cottage cheese is considered a solid and that he should not be having it until he was past the mushy stage. He has trouble eating it now, though, and that is after 1 1/2 years!
  22. What line-dancer said. Follow your surgeon's guidelines. Karaen
  23. what you are describing sounds to me like you need a slight unfill. What you are going thru sounds like it is GERD. If you continue with this, you can get a skip or esophagus trouble. Please call your surgeon! Karen
