It's official :(

I ws banded on 12/3/12 and have lost 36lbs. Went for a fill and they discovered that my band may be faulty. They believe scar tissue is causing a kink in the tubing. So I have to undergo sugery this Friday for a revision to the port, however if the band still isnt working properly they have to replace it and basically starting at square 1 again. I have been following the rules and trying to be optimistic but a little discouraged about having to have surgery again.

I'm so sorry this has happened to you. Just remember that you didn't do anything wrong to cause this and it's just another hurdle to get over. You will be back on track before you know it. On the bright side, you will probably lose some more weight because of the surgery and goal wise you'll either be right back on track or ahead of your timeline! Best of luck with your surgery. l'm sending healing thoughts your way!

I am so sorry. This must be quite frustrating for you. I agree with Instyle98, you did nothing wrong. It is just one of those things. Keep your chin up and don't give up. You will be quite the inspiration to anyone else who may go through the same thing.

God Bless

(((((hugs)))), best wishes. Sorry to hear about your problems, but looks like you have done marvelously, even with the problem!

OH NO!!! i'm so sorry! Just curious, was this a Lap Band or a Realize band? I'm having surgery tomorrow and have chosen the traditional Lap Band.

So sorry hun.. thats horrible to have to go through that, but I know it will all be worth it!! it's a speed bump thats all.. prayers for a safe and speedy recovery!! *hugs*!

I am so sorry to hear that. You did nothing wrong, so it sucks you have to go through this. Praying for a speedy recovery and that fixing the port fixes the problem. **hugs**

Thanks everyone for the best wishes, hopefully it will be something simple. My surgeon says this rarely happens so I am looking as it as a freaky thing. I still dont regret my decision but may questioned it later if it happens again. So fingers crossed! For BandedJourney I have the LapBand but i hope this doesnt discourage you any. Up until Friday it was going smooth and I was rockin this band :) So best of luck to you with surgery tommorrow.
