I was banded June 3, 2008. I lost a total of 90lbs in the first 11 months, but have gained about 10 back since then and maintained this current weight for about 7 months. I would like to lose another 20-30lbs eventually. My husband and I are trying for our 3rd child now so I plan on losing more weight after this baby is born. Overall this has been an amazing experience! I am a completely different person now, 100% more confident! It hasn't been all smooth sailing but I wouldn't change the experiences for anything.
***UPDATE*** I haven't updated this in almost 2 years probably... since then we had our third child that we were trying for last time I wrote here. Unfortunately, since I had my band unfilled at the beginning of my pregnancy... I gained 75lbs while I was pregnant and weighed in at 275 the morning I went in to have him! Not my proudest moment. HOWEVER... I weighed in at 158 this morning, proving to myself that I can utilize the tool along with healthy eating and exercise to get to and maintain a healthy weight. I feel amazing now and we have decided three boys is enough for us so I am done having babies and can't wait to pursue my plastic surgery options now to remove some loose skin that keeps me from feeling accomplished. I can't wait to look as incredible as I feel!
