  1. It's a good feeling!!!! Congrats!
  2. I've been lurking on the boards for quite sometime now. Well, I was just banded yesterday, June 14th. While I am a bit whiney about the recovery, I believe I have made the right choice. I have a very bad love hate relationship with food and I hope to find support here on the boards!
  3. SO.....yesterday was my big day. I have to say that recovery is not what I thought (however, I have NEVER had any type of surgery EVER). I am so sore. Last night I was in pain and tried not to have to take the narcotic but had to anyway. Dr. told me to walk around as much as possible and to cough!? All of that hurts! Also, he said that they don't stitch up the belly button and mine is leaking:scared2: some blood and some clear stuff. I am waiting on the office to call today to check on me (they do that with all patients) so I can ask them about it. I just need some encouragement to get through the recovery process. I am a big whiner and like I said...never been through anything like this before!
  4. Hi all! I have just started my Lap Band journey this month. I am self pay so things are going fast. As long as I can get financed and the note from my RA doctor, my surgery date is Monday, Nov. 16th. I am excited and nervous. I know that I won't be able to have my RA medication for awhile, but I don't know how long. Anyone experience lap band proceedures and have RA? Thanks! Looking forward to a New ME!:scared2:
