Things going well? I just passed the 35 pound mark, so YAY! I had my 3rd fill yesterday, so no energy to work out while I'm on liquids. Boo. Hope you are having a wonderful Spring!

The Lap Band Support Group I attend is a great one. I look forward to it every month and it is always a source of inspiration. The next one is on Monday, May 10th. They are held at the surgery center across the street from the Wal-Mart on Precinct Line Rd. between Hwy 26 & 183.

I thought I would not need any support. Ha! I'm a dork. I went to see what it was all about a few months before my surgery and haven't missed one since.

This journey is crazy, but so worth it. I put on a pair of pants today that wouldn't even slide on over my big rump a few months ago. One day at a time!

I completely understand! I post about once or twice a week, but I don't do much else. I hope everything is going well for you!!

Glad to hear it! I'm moving forward slowly but surely. At least in the right direction. I have my 2nd fill on the 22nd, so I'm sure that will help! Keep it up!!

How are things going?

Just wanted to let you know that even in DFW I have to wait 4 weeks between fills. My next one isn't until 3/22. I'm just going to focus on working out and TRYING to cut back carbs. We can do this!!

Ezzie, I saw your post on my blog asking about my banding. I actually just got banded on 1/27/10, so I'm only a month out. Things are going great so far. I have lost right around 20 lbs and my first fill is on Friday. Sounds like you are considering the band? Good luck on your journey. You will find TONS of good information & support on this site.

Hey girl! When are you going to be down here? Is it Wednesday?

Hey girl! I didn't post anything for a couple of days because my mom taught me that if you didn't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. I have been in a lot of pain from the gas, but today the light is here and I'm going to make it!

Dr. Smith and staff were awesome! You will love them. He did say that my surgery went super well because I had done well on the pre op diet, so hang there and it will be worth it.

I will blog later today on my recent experiences. Talk to you soon.

Still figuring out the gas pain issue. It is day #4 and everything feels much better except that darn gas. I take pain meds and GasX but it keeps coming. I hope time will make it better. Let me know if you find something that works!

I had a crazy weekend so I wasn't on the site at all. I am doing okay on the preop...had a bit of a smoothie meltdown this weekend, but I'm okay now. Once I finish out today, I only have to do tomorrow.

I am getting my surgery done in there Hurst surgery center on Wednesday. I live quite close to it so I will get to go home right after.

Let me know where you are staying and maybe we can meet up for "dinner" or coffee nearby when you are here.
