  1. Thank you for your shopping tips!! I think you are absolutely right about steering toward black and darks. I'm going to make an effort to be a little bolder with my fashion choices!!

  2. Your comment that I must be close to goal is sweet!! It literally made me smile. But I still have 35 pounds to go to get to my MINIMUM goal of not being obese. My goal with my nutritionist (which still wouldn't put me in "normal" range) is another 50 pounds away. I don't ever think I will be in the "normal" range, but if I can fit in some size 10s, I think I would not care less. :) Thank you for you consistent support. It means a lot!!

  3. You are too sweet! I will have to try the peppermint Bath & Body foot cream. It sounds delightful!

  4. Thanks for mentioning the water bottle ice packs! I used to do that in the past and it was a good reminder that I should start doing it again. Thanks!!

  5. I'm still getting used to the site and I just saw your post, Electra. I'm in the DFW area.

  6. Yeah, I wear a 10B show but 10.5D sneaker. You should try going to a running shoe store where they will watch you walk and measure you. It can be a litle pricey, but it was really worth it for me. Might not be the same for you, but it is worth checking out. Good luck!

  7. Hee hee! :) I did have a great weekend!

  8. I know! Things have a way of evening out, huh?

  9. Thank you!! And you are welcome. I have found this site to be so helpful. Especially on days when I'm not feeling quite so successful!

  10. Thank you for the kind words!! Feedback is so motivating!

  11. Thank you for your sweet words today. I'm starting to believe that it does look good. I think it just isn't "me". :) It helps to be able to vent!!

  12. Thanks for your support today! :) You are doing a FABULOUS job!!

  13. Ezzie, I saw your post on my blog asking about my banding. I actually just got banded on 1/27/10, so I'm only a month out. Things are going great so far. I have lost right around 20 lbs and my first fill is on Friday. Sounds like you are considering the band? Good luck on your journey. You will find TONS of good information & support on this site.

  14. Thanks for responding to my blog entry today. It is tough for me to admit what I did to myself during those years. But all we can do is move forward, right? You are doing so GREAT!

  15. This journey is crazy, but so worth it. I put on a pair of pants today that wouldn't even slide on over my big rump a few months ago. :) One day at a time!

  16. Thanks for sweet comment! I guess we notice change in others more easily than in ourselves. :)

  17. How are things going?

  18. Peanut butter cupcake...mmmmmmmmm...

  19. I've done all my shopping at Ross, Kohl's, DSW, & Norstrom Rack. I did splurge for an outfit at NY&Co. It isn't super expensive, but I want to only shop for bargains at the moment since I don't plan to be able to wear these clothes next year!! My only other splurge was a motorcycle jacket, but I did get it 1/2 price at the Rack. It was still expensive, but looks SO good! :) I'm going to go jeans shopping at Kohl's since the have reasonably prices Levi's. They seem to fit well right now.

  20. Hey girl! When are you going to be down here? Is it Wednesday?

  21. I can't remember the last time I had an ankle bracelet. Probably the last time I was thin(ner). Ha! Good luck getting there. It is always fun to have a goal!!

  22. That you for your sweet wall post! What a way to end the day. :)

  23. The Lap Band Support Group I attend is a great one. I look forward to it every month and it is always a source of inspiration. The next one is on Monday, May 10th. They are held at the surgery center across the street from the Wal-Mart on Precinct Line Rd. between Hwy 26 & 183.

I thought I would not need any support. Ha! I'm a dork. I went to see what it was all about a few months before my surgery and haven't missed one since.

  24. I do love my BodyBugg! I am diligent about logging every single thing I put in my mouth (which I have NEVER been able to stick with before.) I also keep a spreadsheet with daily calories burned vs. calories consumed and difference. I convert that difference into pounds lost (assuming 3500 calories=one pound.) That's how I track how much I "should" be losing vs. how much I am REALLY losing (via the scale.) Why yes, I am quite anal... :) It has really helped ME though because I do better with information. "Just because" doesn't motivate me. Good luck!!
