  1. Happy 25th Birthday Lyssa651!

  2. 2 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 2nd Anniversary Lyssa651!

  3. Hey Lyssa! How have you been holding up? I think of gotten my head back in the game of dieting. I think working out and actually seeing how long it takes to burn off calories makes me reconsider what I put into my mouth! I'm still a little cheater, but I feel like I'm in better control of the "binges" I was having! Hope all is well!

  4. Yes thats what my docter said to me over and over how it is a tool. When did you have your surgery again? And you have lost a good amount of weight like 33 pounds you said? I guess i just set my expectations really high you know but at least i have lost some weight. I have the same problem and especially with not even being able to eat any normal foods in the last month it is even harder! We will get used to it because obviously you cant kick bad habits overnight. The first fill will most definately make it easier.

  5. Hey Lyssa! I've read over and over how the band is a tool and it's up to us to make the right food choices! It's so hard though! I always start out with the right intentions....had turkey slices with avocado for lunch, but then I saw the treats I buy for the kids lunches, and within seconds, I'm wolfing down junk! I find if I let myself get really hungry, I'm out of control! Anyway, the support is great on this site and I have high expectations for my first fill! I know we can do this!!!!

  6. wow 33lbs is still good i think thats nice to see other people that kind of go through the same thing so i know its not my band thats not working i just need a fill and i cant wait for mine eather! Thanks for the support guys!
  7. wow 18 pounds the first week is wayyy better then me! since i had my band on the 7th i have lost about 10 pounds. Its going a little slow for me but the docter told me a lot of people do not lose a whole lot of weight in the first 4 to 6 weeks. When you get your first fill you should start losing weight a little quicker and you will be more used to having the band and learning how to use it. Im still learning a WHOLE lot my self but im not going to be to worried yet about not losing weight super fast.
  8. Ahhh ok thanks for that info. i never knew that i just knew that throwing up can cause problems but im sure now i wont make the same mistake again!
  9. Hello, Im new to this lapband community and I have to say I am very happy I found it. I go to school fulltime and I don't have time for support groups yet so this will hopefully help me out a lot! I just got my band October 7th 2009 and I am already on the pureed stage. Its been hard for me but I have been following the diet strictly until yesterday. I ate a couple pieces of cheese and turkey and I am regreting it now because I don't know if this would effect my healing process. I dont know if it is a really big deal but would this hurt anything?? I was kind of worried after because they say how important it is to follow the diet 100%. This may sound like a dumb question but im very new to this whole lapband thing.
