  1. Hey there...thanks for the compliment...so far its been a lil over 7 months and I have lost about 55 lbs..to be very honest I have been bad on the working out....I stick to the high protein, low sugar, low carb diet although lately I have been "cheating" as I like to call it, and havent lost anything in about a month. I did have my gallbladder out a few weeks ago due to many painful attacks and a lotta stones. I promised myself that I'm gonna work out more as soon as I recover fully from the surgery.,...hope this helps and STAY POSITIVE!!! we need to stick together :)

  2. thanks girl!!! u look awesome yourself~!

    Easter 2010,,down 50lbs..6months post-op)

Hey all thank you very much!!! Its funny looking back 6 months ago and thinkg 50 lbs was sooooo far away. But I have to say, that this band isnt the ONLY answer..back b4 I got married I was a size 12..then 3 kids came along, I lost myself, and gained like 100 lbs over 10 years. I decided to get this band because I felt like 100 lbs wasnt coming off on its own. And immediately after getting the band, I changed my whole view on food. I knew the band was just going to be my tool, not he WHOLE answer. I still feel that mostly all this weight i have lost I have done on my own. I will def give the first 15 lbs to the band, but I just got my third fill (i have a totlal of 5cc's in) and FINALLY feel a restriction...I do to this day make sure i get in all the protein I need, but I feel like I live a balanced food life. I'll eat a coookie, but just ONE not 5!!! I did just within the last 2 weeks start exercising...I'm not gonna lie I have 3 kidsand work full time nite shift so i def know what its like to not have time...but I do it at nite when they go to bed...a 25 min BOOTCAMP with Bob from the Biggest Loser....hey something is better than nothing But i feel like the exercising is def helping. It is certainly a lifestyle change NOT a diet.....but I think a lot of people get discouraged because the weight doesnt fly off like it does with a GB...dont get discouraged...Slow DOES win the race in the end!! Good Luck everyone!!

Me, hubby and the bday boy Reese! Down 40lbs!

thanks debbie!!! i had surgery october 13th and so far have lost 42 lbs!!! It's been awesome BUT alot of hard work....so prepare yourself. Try to find high protein foods that are gonna satisfy you...protein shakes and bars are a great source. Also tuna, turkey chili, eggs and even almonds....it really is a lifestyle change and to be honest, I have only had 2 fills so far and I dont; feel any restriction just yet. So I guess I can say I lost majority of this weight all on my own. Initially there is a lot of restriction...like right after surgery, but I still need to find my "sweet spot" as they call it...good luck and keep in touch!!
