  1. ooops sorry megan i just joined and am quite clueless at this message system. i just realized that your messages were from 2003. so how are you doing now? i would love to chat with you, i am also from northfield and i am having a hard time trying to make the right decision on getting the lap band i would love to hear your story.
  2. i have a 16 month old and on september 29 i am having another baby. my lap band surgery will be sometime in january. so what i need advice on is if you think it is possible to have lap band surgery and be able to take care of 2 babies and enjoy life with them? i see a lot of people have problems with vomitting, weakness, holding down water, ect. i would appreciate all of your opinions on this matter. having 2 infants is going to be tough and i just would like some input if i should do the surgery or wait awhile. thank you all so much:confused:
  3. oh thank you so much for the great links! i will be going through each one carefully and im sure i will have a million more questions, it is just a scary step to take. had i not knowin someone who suffers on a weekly basis my fears wouldnt be so high. like i said i know lap band is completely different that is why i want to get as much info as possible to make sure i wont end up miserable too. once again thanx much!!!!!!
  4. hello everyone i have just joined the lapbandtalk.com. i really am desperate for as much advise as i can possibly get. i just started the process of getting the lap band surgery, but i am scared to death!!!! my biggest fear is that i get this surgery and lose my quality of life; meaning that i am so sick vomitting, stomach aches, basically feeling miserable more than feeling good. i know someone who had the bypass which i know is totally different, but she is sick every week and has so many side effects its crazy and she is 10 years post. i would appreciate as much advise as i could get. thank you all so much!
