  1. They have messed mine up before, but when you called the Tricare 800 number they change it over the phone, no big deal. Good luck, I hope you get it!
  2. That sounds like an awesome year! I am being banded 1/31/11 I am focusing on self improvement as well and my step 1 is the band too! Thanks for sharing, it was fun to read.
  3. Mine was about 39 but I have type 1 diabetes. My PCM doesn't give you the referall for the surgeon if you don't qualify, I'm not sure if they are all the same. So where are you guys stationed? I'm at Fairchild. Oh, the process went really fast too! I was done with everything and scheduled for surgery in less than 3 months.
  4. Dang I'm on the other side I'm in Spokane.
  5. Hi Thomas! I'm getting banded at the Rockwood Clinic and they will be doing the fills as well. Maybe they would accommodate you as well?
  6. Yay! I'm getting banded on the 1/31/10. I'm 26 and have 2 kids and I'm in Spokane, WA. Welcome!
  7. That sounds really good! I will definitely try that, thanks!
  8. I hate hate hate the pre-op diet. I love cooking and living on bland food isn't my thing. But, I try to keep in mind that it's only 2 weeks. I tried asking my nutritionist to incorporate a meal a day like I've seen others on here do but she said no. I am allowed to eat celery if I "feel the need to chew something". I have type 1 diabetes and my sugar levels have dropped, are dropping, all the time and I have to consume sugar to bring it up so my weight loss hasn't been as significant as I hoped.
  9. That is a great idea Charmin! Also, I was trying to quote you and I accidentally clicked the negative sign...not sure what it means and I can't undo it.
  10. ooooo that sounds like a good idea!
  11. Welcome! I'm new as well and love this site so far
  12. Congrats everyone! It is a wonderful feeling I'm getting banded on 1/31/11.
  13. I'm right there with you. I started the liquids Monday and for me it's harder than I imagined. I'm so lethargic and miss eating already. I keep telling myself it's temporary but that doesn't make it suck any less, does it? The scale going down is motivational, so I'm trying to focus on that. Good luck! I'm getting banded on 1/31/11.
  14. I'm on day 3 and it is a little better today although my doctor is strictly all liquids I actually emailed my nutritionist today asking to eat a meal a day like I've seen so many people on here get to to. This is hard!
  15. Amazon lost all my respect after the how to guide for child molesting.
  16. I agree with Swan. Gotta do some good ol' soul searching.
  17. Thank you! This was fun and informative
  18. That must be so hard! Some piece of advice my mom gave me was when you're in that situation to tell yourself, "I can eat that food. I choose not to." Sounds kinda lame but it has helped me a time or two in the past week.
  19. Sounds good. Normally I'd make my own ranch, it was sooooo yummy. I tried making a lower calorie version but I'm ridding myself of my dipping problem, or at least trying to. But I will have to try those out!
  20. Me too! I love dressings so much. I threw out all of them from my house and said my goodbyes last week. Unfortunately I am on all liquids for the 2 weeks but I will definitely have to try them once I'm able to. Do you have any flavors to recommend?
  21. Have you already tried baking extracts? I got some artificial strawberry, coconut, and maple and I'm eager to try them. I'm thinking for breakfast to do maple with a vanilla shake, maybe throw in a little banana.
  22. Thanks for the input everyone! I woke up this morning still wishing I went and I happened to see some pictures of myself that were taken yesterday and now the craving is dissipating.
