  1. week 3. No pain; everything healing well; last drain will probably come out Tuesday. I would definitely do it again in a heartbeat! Still smoking :(

  2. Day 2 no pain. only1 cigarette left. I can kick this!

  3. Had my panniculectomy yesterday. Got home a few hours ago. The initial pain when I woke up was intolerable as in PLEASE SHOOT ME! After about 30 minutes, the painkillers kicked into action and I haven't had any pain since.

  4. Heading to the hospital to get carved like a Thanksgiving turkey. Pre-op weight was 199!! I never thought I'd see a 1 as first digit of my weight. (well with a 3 digit weight at least)

  5. Heading to last shower for a week. My house would stink if it didn't already smell like animals :)

  6. Less than 6 hours until I head to the hospital for my panniculectomy. Can't put down the butts, I hope it doesn't impede the healing too much.

  7. 3.5 days until my panniculectomy. A little anxious about the post op pain but not really nervous at all.

  8. Hang in there and keep your head up. You are doing great and even weight loss needs a break once in a while.

There is no refund on the ticket but hold onto it. It's good until the end of the month.

I have been bouncing back and forth between 200 and 223 for a month now. My next goal is 219 (because that is 99 Kilos). Go figure.

I'm not letting it get me down because it is 145 pounds less than I weighed 10 months ago.

  9. Wow! you look great! Major difference in the before and after shots.

  10. Thanks tdawg and Angie!!

  11. Oops!! I missed that question when it was asked a month ago.

The only unflavored protein powder have found so far in Unjury (UNJURY is Medical Quality Whey Protein Isolate. Best Tasting Whey Protein Powder. Most Trusted Whey Protein Powder Supplement. Taste the difference)

I haven't tried too many though. I love Optifast and have been sticking with it.

Thanks for the kind words. I shoot from the hip and tell it like I see it but in the end, I am just another Bandster and a relatively new one at that.

  12. Ack!! Sorry Mrs Smith, I just noticed your question in my notices about unflavored protein powder.

  13. Thanks but rude is different from everybody's perspective. I get called rude a lot and I can understand how somebody can see it that way.

I try to be honest and give the answer that I need to get or needed to get. Which is not necessarily the one I wanted to hear.

  14. It's been 3 months for my and I am losing about 9 pounds a month. I had 4 weeks where I lost nothing but just kept my chin up. As long as I don't gain, I am happy.

  15. I'm still alive and actually doing quite well. Thnks for asking.

I apologize for not being around much but I have OCD and started playing a stupid game on Facebook and couldn't tear myself away from it except to go out and enjoy the great springtime weather.

    How is everyone doing??

  16. I am doing great. Thanks for asking. Down 16 pounds since banding and 111 since I started the process in September.

I am not seeing much of a difference in my life now compared to prebanding. I'm eating mostly the same stuff, just less of it. I don't advertise my surgery to friends and coworkers but I don't keep it a secret either. I'm happy to talk about it if they ask. I won't bother them with it if they don't.

I am getting sick of the "how much have you lost" question from the same people every day just trying to make small talk. If they cared, they would probably remember the answer from the previous day.

  17. Thanks Gloria. My band helped me out of it. It clogged up in public at a nice, japanese restaurant and brought me back into the light on Friday.

It reminded me again yesterday at home that I need to slow down on chewing.

It's weird, but I gained a pound last week and am down 5 in the past five days.

funfairy, I am getting my first fill on April 21 but as I just stated, restriction has already somewhat started.

I don't plan on ever being totally "cured".

I think it will be just as hard as trying to break my smoking addiction. I quit smoking for 5 years a while back and that craving was always there. I quit again 6 months ago today and have cheated a little. A full pack last weekend but only one cigarette since.

Through it all I am keeping a good attitude and not lambasting myself. That is the secret to being successful at anything.

  18. I'm doing great. It's as if I never had surgery. The weight loss has stopped though and I am falling back to old habits. Need that fill soon :)

    How are you doing?

  19. Yo, where are you?

I haven't seen you posting and your surgery was a week ago. I hope all is well.

  20. Hiya.

I have an office job and took a week off but to be totally honest with you, if I needed to, I could have been back at work following surgery. I was a little uncomfortable with the gas but no pain from the incisions.

  21. Hi. I should write y'all one by one but I am running to get ready for work.

I'm doing great. I have my 2 week post op appointment tomorrow and am hoping the surgeon will tell me I can start eating normal food. I know he is going to say 2 more weeks of mushie though.

  22. Everything is going great. Back to work 3 days now and it is like I never had surgery. I am tempted to try and run on the tread mill but holding off so I don't tear a stitch.

    How are you doing?

  23. Hi. Thanks for writing. I am doing great. I start mushies tomorrow.

I love your positive attitude. You may be losing slow but that gives you more time to savor it.

  24. I had no pain yesterday or today.

I am a little sore today but not in pain.

The gas is bad. Kind of feels like something inside of you is pushing it's way out. It is more uncomfortable than painful.

  25. Good luck on your surgery tomorrow! I hope it goes as smoothly as mine yesterday!
