I have only started the first steps.  I have not been over weight my whole life but for the past 7 years I have gained 134 pounds.  I became very depressed for no real reason and well it was just weird.  I had my daugter in January of 07 and I just can't keep up.  It is really sad and I am just tired.  I was able to stop smoking cold turkey but can't seem to stop eating. Okay first appointment is done, Dr Fontana was great, straight forward and the journey begins.  I will have all my pre surgery stuff done by Oct 15, so surgery will be late November or early December.Okay this waiting for the insurance company sucks.  I am on pins and needles waiting to hear if all the paperwork is approved and when the surgery will be.  My hope is still late November early December so I am up and running by Christmas.  I don't really care about Thanksgiving or my Birthday but I need to be whole for Christmas.  Mid-January is out because my daughter will turn 3.  The presure is on and I am feeling it.  Well I now have the date of January 5 so that is going to give me 11 days to get moving for my daughter's third birthday.  I could not do this without all the support my family is offering.  It has been amazing. Okay, it is 5 days after my surgery and well Dr Fontana is amazing.  I only have two small incisions and feel GREAT. I survived the liquid diet for preop and am still on the liquid for 3 more days.  Things are going well and I have not had any problems.  Can't wait for my appointment on January 13 and then the next stage.  My family has been wonderful and things seem to be returning to normal.  I saw the Dr. on 1-13-10 and had lost another 11 pounds.  I then gained 6 pounds only to start my period and then lost 8 pounds.  That made things better.  I have been doing well on the soft diet.  I have made a few mistakes with drinking too fast which resulted in my mouth becoming a fountain (entertaining to my husband).  I am going back to the dr on Feb 17.  My guess is that I will get a fill.
