  3. Yes liquid. I agree its totally nasty but im forcing it down, it seems to actually help but makes me sooo sleepy. I tried zofran, it didnt do anything for me. Im calling the office today... There's got to be something else he can prescribe me. Gosh I hope this doesn't go on forever, its so miserable. Drinking sips of water even makes me feel sick.
  4. Im 3 weeks out and nauseated daily. Finnergan just makes me sleepy and I've been trying to work half days at work. Seems like im constantly calling in because im so nauseated I just don't want to get out of the bed. I just need to know that this will go away. so yes, I feel your pain and hope you get better.

  6. When was your surgery? Mine was Jan 14 and im wondering if the nausea EVER goes away. Its hard for me to stomach the Water and shakes, or anything for that matter. What IS a stricture?

  9. Im going back too after two weeks. Good luck!
  10. Had the band in March 2010. Converted to rny 13 days ago. The recovery time is way rough, because converting is a much bigger surgery than just the rny alone. But to HOPEFULLY never have reflux again is more than worth it!
  11. Im not allowed to start Protein shakes or my Vitamins till im two weeks out which is this coming Monday. Thank goodness! Question though... When you start your Protein Shakes initially can you only add milk, or will it hurt to add other things like fruits etc. To liven it up a bit?? I don't see my nut till next Thurs.
  12. Thanks for the tips yall. Libra Lisa yes mam I've tried cl. Like the SF jello, and SF Popsicles they make me feel nauseous too. Hoping this all will pass soon.
  13. I have a prescription for phinergan, I just took a dose. I hope it kicks in soon. Then maybe I can drink more. :/
  14. I cant drink the amt of water I'm supposed to because every time I take a sip I feel sick. STILL on clear liquids. I go to the dr tomorrow for 1st followup and to get this pump out. I've been fine up until this point. Think it could be because there's just nothing in my stomach as far as food goes or what? Has this happened to anyone else? Suggestions?
  15. SF popsicle... Liquid diet too!
  16. Coming from someone who is 8 days post op and still on clear liquids... That looks AMAZING!!
  17. Im having back pain worse than stomach soreness most of the time and I am 7 days post op. I hope it gets better for you. Like everyone else says... I guess we need to walk walk walk. :/
  18. Congrats on your 1 week! I am too. Had my revision band to bypass last Monday. All I can have is clear liquids and im sick of it. I still have one more week of this mess, until I can start my protein shakes and full liquids. I can.not.wait!
  19. Im taking two weeks too. Supposed to go back next Monday. Just nervous because it's the day I can finally start full liquids and scared about running to the restroom, getting sick, etc.
  20. I had a BMI of 30. I had the band with tons of complications, the dr said the main reason he wanted to do this is because my BMI was gradually rising, my sleep apnea was coming back, diabetes runs in my family so that was only a matter of time, the #1 main reason was to stop my acid reflux... It was ruining my esophogus. I say go for it... If anything just to prevent everything from worsening in the future. If your insurance approves it and the dr is all for it, then go for it! I'm 6 days post op and very sore and sluggish... But I know it will be worth it! Good luck on your decision!
  21. I'm 5 days out from revision band to bypass surgery. My back and shoulders are still in way more pain than my stomach. I wasn't hungry till I got home, and now everything I see I want to eat. Still in clear liquid hell for one more week. please tell me the hunger and back pain will get better!
  22. I cant wait for a protein drink! One week left of clears, then strained soups, yogurt, and protein shakes here I come!!!
