  1. Hello All, I was banded on September 14th and it is so nice to have people to relate to and see progress being made. My surgery went great, but my Doctor has kept me on a 2 week post-op liquid diet. I am going stir crazy with boredom because of the Protein shakes. My biggest issue is that everytime I drink one I get pain in my left shoulder so I haven't been taken in the protein needed. I found out the hard way that Protein=Energy. I went back to work yesterday and looked like the walking dead..LOL...I am stepping it up and working through the Left shoulder pain so I can get my protein boost.
  2. Hello All, I am from Rockville, MD and will be banded on September 14th. My doctor puts his patient's on a 2 week all liquid, low carb diet prior to surgery. This is day 5 of my journey. I have 3-4 Protein Shakes a day, clear broth, & sugar-free jello. It has been surprisingly easy. After I got through day 2 and the headaches ( I was a total carb addict), I felt fine with no hunger. I am so excited! I wish everyone the best of luck. Remember this...Nothing tastes as good as being at a healthy weight feels!! :sneaky:
