  1. My guide has me at full liquids for the first 2 days then soft foods for the next 4 weeks. They call this stage no lumps or numbs. So applesauce, yogurt, broth or cream soup etc. then stage 3 will be at 5-6 weeks out till 8 weeks and that is adding in soft meats potatoes etc. hopefully the NUT can send you something to help you out as well. Good luck, I'm getting excited can the 18 the get here.
  2. wow your story is like mine. Banded in 2008 lost 121lbs got pregnant and had my son in 2011. And nothing but trouble since then and yes licking off soups pretty much. Opened my band up in Oct and put on 50lbs since then. I'm getting the sleeve done on 6/18 and hopefully put these past 3 years behind me and move ion finally.
  3. Only think I had to do was the pre-op class and I'm set for the 18th this month.
  4. I am going from band to sleeve on 6/18. I got banded in 2008 and lost 121 lbs. but after having my son in 2011 it's been a struggle. I ended up with horrible acid reflux and nothing worked. I went on my Dr. preop diet plan so any times and empty and filled the band with no luck. Only time the acid reflux went away is when the band is empty as it is now. Bad part is I have out weight back in. So I finally said enough is enough and time to switch. Maybe talk to your dr about the difference and do some research to help you out.
  5. Good luck to you all. I'm a like over a week away.
  6. Thanks I just order a sample pack yesterday off unjury website.
  7. I am having my revision from lap band to sleeve on the 28th as well and no preop diet for me. I have my preop apt on the 10th and will find out if he will have me do 1 week of liquids or 2 days of liquids before surgery. He normally does 2 day liquid diet but since I'm having revision he may require a week. How are you doing? I'm so ready for the 18th to get here.
  8. I had my pre-op class this week and someone asked about this and our NUT said it does not give you the proper protein we need and does not recommend it.
  9. I just wanted to say welcome and good luck on your journey. I don't have your insurance but maybe you can call them and ask what their policy is for weight loss surgery. I also reached out to my HR dept at work to make sure my insurance covered it so I knew I should be ok.
  10. Glad to hear from our first week of sleevers and that you are all doing well. Next round up on Monday good luck to all that go 6/9-6/14.
  11. Kaiser doesn't cover it. Or at least Northern California didn't.
  12. Does anyone that got it covered have Kaiser? I'm just wondering before I start the process.
  13. I had to do a pre-opclass as well. And was told day 1 in hospital is multi vitamin,B1 and D. Then 2 weeks after surgery to add back in the calcium and iron. I can do chewable a already after surgery they say. Double check with your dr to be sure that way you will be all set to go.
  14. mine is also on the 18th. Can't believe it's just a little over a week away.
  15. welcome. How did everything go? I'm getting excited a little more then a week left for me going in on the 18th.

  17. Mine is now going thru this with me for a second time as I'm going from the band to sleeve on 6/18. The first time around he was onboard and didn't have anything to say. Now this time around he goes do what I did (he has lost over 120 lbs in the last year and a half doing no sugar or processed foods and kept if off). I have tried to eat like him but with the band and issues it is hard. I just explained with how bad my knees are (arthritis, it is pretty much bone on bone in the left knee and then a MCL partial tear in the right a few month ago) he sees how uncomfortable I am and says it's up to me and will support me with what I pick. Maybe do a pros and cons with him and explain it and then just maybe he will get onboard and support you
  18. I'm getting my band removed, and sleeved on 6/18 and my dr has me stopping vitamins for 2 weeks. I have found Celebrate Vitamins are the ones I like best so hopefully my body won't change it's mind after surgery.
  19. I'm also glad I came across this post, I'm scheduled for 6/18 and trying to get everything in order. I'm going to order the sample pack and Unjury to try as well.
