Band to Sleeve Post-Op Vitamins?!?!?

I had my band removed and was sleeved on 5/19. Trying to get my vitamins and nutrients and I was taking Bariactric Advantage Chewable Vitamins before my surgery. But now when I take them I almost immediately get sick, its like the taste changed and my stomach said "no way". Anyone have any recommendations on something else to try??

I would check with your doctor to see if you're even supposed to be taking Vitamins yet, which may be why they're making you sick. I had my band to sleeve revision on the 14th and I'm not allowed to take any vitamins until my 2 week post op appt on Tuesday. And then, it supposed to be in liquid form since I'm on liquids only for 3 weeks. Your post op instructions may be different, but just a thought.

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm getting my band removed, and sleeved on 6/18 and my dr has me stopping vitamins for 2 weeks. I have found Celebrate Vitamins are the ones I like best so hopefully my body won't change it's mind after surgery.
